Bill Lee wanted a day of fasting and prayer on the 27th. Therefore he delayed asking for a disaster declaration. Then legislator Jeremy Faison deceitfully praised Biden for FINALLY responding. TN regularly turns down federal assistance (Medicaid expansion being the most egregious) while its citizens pay the price for their ideological actions. They discussed passing on millions in educational assistance because of “the strings attached,” although, when asked to describe those, they couldn’t. They just intuitively KNEW—you know, like Mike Johnson knows intuitively there is gobs of illegal voting though he can’t prove it.
But they "BELIEVE" with all their stony hearts. Then they turn around and lie. What a bizarre dichotomy. Believe your god will save you, and blame the Democrats when s/he doesn't.

Stony hearts….Good one!
I'm sure folks in TN affected by the storm decided that praying was superior to and more effective than requesting federal assistance. *eye roll*
