Beautiful photo! Spring has arrived in the Columbia River Gorge too. I took my 94 year old Mom a beautiful and fragrant bouquet of lilacs from my yard today. It was a good day.

I do too. Three years ago I planted some lilacs in my back yard. Last spring the little twigs bloomed lilac bunches so big they bent the branches almost to the ground. This spring since we had such a mild mostly non-winter - no blooms. Lilacs need a cold, dormant period to bloom. Climate change, IтАЩm not sure folks realize that it truly affects everything, even whether your lilac will bloom in the springtime.

We are finally at spring in the Willamette Valley too. In fact, it will be summer at the end of the week. I still have much to transplant and of course, it is supposed to rain today. But I have a fragrant verbena whose scent goes all over the yard.

There was a large lilac right next to my bedroom when I was growing up, so I delight in them, but couldn't keep the one we had here alive.

I always look forward to the serenity photo at the end of the week which brings peace.
