Hi KR. I don’t think you are being fair with your statements against Kennedy. I have seen nothing about a diary or cheating on his wife. You give no sources for that and I would like to know what he has to say about that.I have doubts about our meddling in the Ukraine war. Kennedy said we need to go back to when the USSR ended to understand it . We promised Russia not to encroach NATO forces “one inch” closer. We violated that promise as we have missiles twelve minutes away from destroying Moscow now.I believe our main interest in that war is for regime change in Russia, not the welfare of Ukraine people.RFKJR believes as did JFK in putting himself in the Russian leader’s shoes. It’s how the Cuban missile crisis was averted. He has said he believes abortion is to be decided by the mother and her doctor, not the government. Please don’t misconstrue this.Vaccines being safely researched and tested is not dangerous nonsense as you stated, it’s prudent and wize. You probably know someone who believed OxyContin was non- addictive as doctors told us. And the New York Times had many misleading articles about Aaron Roger’s being his vice presidential pick. They have reported as if being an instrument of the DNC.I’m outraged that false information is being hurled and that the DNC designated Biden its nominee in Putin like fashion.Niether party is acting democratically now, so I will vote for the one who is-RFKJR.

John, did you "put yourself in Russia's shoes" when Putin decided unilaterally to bomb the sht out of Ukraine, a burgeoning democracy, and kill thousands of Ukrainians? Please read historian Ukrainian/Russian Timothy Snyder. So you support his continued bombing and military encroachment?

I have read The Road To Unfreedom, he is more academic and not so diplomatic , in my opinion. I certainly do not approve of Putin’s war crimes or aggression. I think diplomacy should be tried more extensively.

John, great that you've read some background. What diplomatic moves would you suggest from Ukraine or the US in the midst of this invasion? Putin has already taken Crimea from Ukraine while the US did almost nothing to help them retain their country. I definitely fault the US for not taking more intelligent, unselfish and positive steps when the Soviet Union suddenly fell and a kleptocracy/oligarchy took over, but Putin smothering all semblance of dissent (Navalny?) and continuing to threaten and attack neighboring countries makes any diplomacy ineffective IMO. And no, I don't believe he is seriously "threatened" by NATO, but only by the other countries becoming more democratic and possibly westernized in some ways.

I think the sanctions Biden put on Russia have not worked. Can the 2 countries talk about removing sanctions and ways to stop more killings and destruction?

Since the sanctions haven't worked to stop Russia's destruction, I don't see how removing them would make a difference. I see your point but I don't think Putin has ever been a good faith actor--I think he would just use negotiations to his political advantage, to show his "strength", which is probably why Biden is unwilling to go in that directions. Ukraine would see this as a betrayal, even more than their current betrayal by the Trump House in Congress.

Regarding Kennedy’s womanizing and diary, see https://newrepublic.com/article/174667/rfk-jr-compulsive-womanizer

Regarding Ukraine, it’s convenient to ignore Russia’s aggression, isn’t it? Never mind that we, along with Russia and the UK, guaranteed Ukraine’s sovereignty when they gave up nuclear weapons. Our word needs to mean something.

Regarding dangerous nonsense about the link between autism and vaccination, that has been thoroughly debunked and it is indeed dangerous to pretend that it hasn’t in order to advance some strange political agenda.

Regarding abortion, Kennedy *may* have said that abortion should remain between a woman and a doctor, but he *also* said that he supports as 15 week ban. Hence my characterization of his stance as ambiguous.

I will take a look at that cheating stuff, sure hope it’s not true.Nicole Shanahan has an autistic child Why do you think she is concerned about a possible link?I’mglad you are concerned about the election and believe in democracy and equality. I am glad we can discuss it, I was hoping that tornado didn’t damage your stuff or horses a few weeks back. And happy Easter.

Sadly, it did, our barn took a direct hit. Luckily no horses or humans were injured, but we suffered a lot of damage. Thank you for asking.

I imagine she’s looking for reasons why her child is autistic. That’s natural. Did you know that the doctor who originally wrote about the link lost his medical license because of the lies he told about the link? Like I said, thoroughly debunked. As someone said above, peer reviewed science matters, not what some unfortunate parent thinks as they look for answers that might not even be there.

Of course I’m concerned about democracy and equality. That’s one of the reasons I find Kennedy’s candidacy so troubling. It’s likely to harm any progress we might make, and for longer than my lifetime. I fear for my children. You might think Kennedy has a chance; the rest of us know that’s a delusion. And his candidacy makes another Trump term more likely, and that would be catastrophic for democracy and equality, as well as issues like climate and reproductive rights. You seem like a nice guy, but supporting Kennedy is just inexplicable to me.

Democracy is of the utmost importance to me too. That’s why I was so captivated by HCR. That’s why I was so upset when she changed her views on it when Biden got the nomination. She first said we need at least two parties to maintain a strong democracy and that more parties is helpful for democracy. Then, when She could see a third party candidate might hurt her candidate’s chances she pivoted against third parties. To me that is a huge contradiction. It completely changed my opinion about her. Hypocritical. She has no answer other than it might get Trump elected again. That is using fear and intimidation. I might have to vote for the Green Party again, if Bobby has unforgivable flaws. We have no godlike candidates to choose from, you realize this right?
