22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name? ' 23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness. '
22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name? ' 23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness. '
You need to read some of the stuff they post about what Democrats (they use the moniker DemonicRats and I'm serious) do and what they want to do, with respect especially to "grooming" children. They are stark, staring mad, but they, or many of them, genuinely believe in (or profess to believe in, probably to get money from the gullible who DO believe in) the existence of demons in reality.
Having been raised by evangelicals who believe in literal, magical тАЬdemons,тАЭ I am very aware of the level of gullibility and cognitive blind spots necessary to hang on to such nonsense beliefs.
I do not support forcing children into dogmatic indoctrination. Faith-based institutions should not be allowed to teach kids their nonsense. If synagogues, mosques, and churches were legally forbidden to children, religions would die out as they should. There is zero evidence of any gods existence, other than in mass delusions forced into young minds that latch on like a leech and poison billions of minds.
I just listened to part of Charismatic Revival Fury: The New Apostolic Reformation podcast - I could only listen to a bit. Very informative, but both chilling AND nauseating. I swear, this is the only "movement" in which certifiable whackjobs are trying to convert the rest of the populace to be insane along with them - it's kind of the opposite of confining these poor souls to a safe place in the care of kindly people. And it's allowed to go on, before god and everybody! And people give them money! I'm amazed any of them can dress themselves, or keep themselves clean.

Is there a non-psycho babble version of this? Casting out demons sounds pretty out there.

Yes, it is out there, but so are they.
