What a brilliant and invaluable addition to my all time favorite subscription. Your emphasis, clarity, and flawless elocution add a great deal. Thank you!
It is wonderful to hear your actual voice. I usually find it convenient to quietly read the letter in the wee hours, but I love this option too. Thank you for your wonderful work. It makes NPR less essential for me, since you cover the most important stuff.
I know folks like podcasts but your time and knowledge is so precious and vital to us all that I hate to see you take up valuable time recording audio after all the time it took to write your column.
I don't object to your new technique but could you also include the text in your email because I tend not to use any of these apps and podcasts. In other words I'm very comfortable reading your opinions.
I agree with others that having the link at the beginning of your Substack article (or wherever else you have it published) would make the narration more accessible. Also, this may be only me, but the intro music that delays getting to the article is actually a deterrent for me and makes it more likely I will continue using the existing computer generated audio reader option on Substack. Thanks for asking for our feedback! Will continue to read and listen one way or the other!
I look forward to your emails every day. They’re literally the only emails I look forward to. Thank you for all the important work you do.
Really like this option. Your spoken words provide another layer of understanding (re content and emphasis).Thank you for trying this out!
Nothing from you is spam! I love reading your essays early in the morning and then listening later in the day.
What a brilliant and invaluable addition to my all time favorite subscription. Your emphasis, clarity, and flawless elocution add a great deal. Thank you!
This is going to be a game changer! Thanks for creating this for us.
This is wonderful! It will be much easier for me to listen to your letters! Thank you, HCR!!!

Dear Heather:
I know folks like podcasts but your time and knowledge is so precious and vital to us all that I hate to see you take up valuable time recording audio after all the time it took to write your column.
I believe Heather supports as many communication modes as needed to reach the masses! Her message is vitally important. I love options.
Yes, accessibility is key!

I trust this doesn't mean that you will be substituting the spoken voice for the written one.

So grateful for these recordings. Thank you!!
I do like hearing from the content creator rather than a computer generated narration. I'd ditch the music though, or make it much more subdued.
I am in California and look forward to your Letters as a good night read.
Now it is my good night story with your voice instead of the computer? one.
A great addition.
We love them!
Grateful for your letters and now the recordings. Your visit to Longboat Key was appreciated Thank you.
Enjoying the audios !!!
