Thanks. I love listening after I have read. So much more meaning to hear the inflections in your voice. Grateful for your dedication to the truth and history.

This is such necessary history and a needed explanation of fascism. It matches Trump’s movement. But those who need this the most I fear are lost to it, to fascism itself. So it becomes name calling without this background and backup. I am glad Harris said it, finally. Let’s call it what it is. This is a power grab too. It scares me how many have been lulled, swayed, fear-mongered and now bribed even ( by Musk).

Inequality brought this on and inordinate wealth is supporting it. Ignorance and vulnerability of our people is being harvested for this poison. May we come through this and learn. I hope not too late.

I am informed and happy to listen/learn of historical and social context. One modest suggestion - get correct pronunciations ... WA ki shaw, Wisconsin.

Hi Heather, Please write more on the Harris positives, her ideas, her personality, her hope for the future. Please enough of the negatives about her opponent. Those don't seem to change anyone's mind. Thanks Peter

Thank you for the clear explanation of the origin and meaning of the term Fascism. I think the term is thrown around too much by both pundits and politicians without explaining clearly what the term means and why it applies to tRump.

I prefer reading but when I click on 'read in the app' the only choice is listening. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks again for stating clearly that the Republican Party is promoting a known autocrat, with grand delusions of fascism, to be president of our nation, which lost many lives to stamp out Nazism (and the fascism it practiced by dismantling the Weimar Republic and occupying all of Europe, then the deliberate mass-murder of any groups targeted as “the enemy within”).

And how did Trump’s dream mentor, Adolp Hitler do it? He captured the ignorant minds of the German public and blamed their loss in WWI and their poverty in the Great Depression on the Jews, communists, etc. as a libel and slander. That’s how he got hundreds of thousands of “normal” people to turn in their neighbors to be taken away and murdered outright or else worked to death as slaves for the war machine.

American people: be careful what you ask for!

If I click "unsubscribe" on the "listen" email, will that unsubscribe me from your print emails? I would rather read than listen and am trying to cut down on the number of emails I receive. Thanks.
