Bush's invasion of Iraq and all that followed (and is continuing) were a key feature of that Global War, a "war" that has multiplied and reinforced the international terrorism it was supposed to suppress. In particular, the invasion of Iraq has strengthened regional power Iran's corrupt theocratic regime and empowered the Iranian military-industrial complex. No comment on various forms of hubristic Saudi craziness or on the worldwide development of State-directed or sponsored terrorism.
