Until we can find leaders that can articulate in a fashion that fits into IG, Facebook or X all of this scholarly knowledge is lost on 99.9% of the voters.

"We are the Borg. You WILL be assimilated." <----Star Trek:The Next Generation. Native Americans and First Nations have LONG lived in North America before the English (British) came to to this country. Leave it to insecure Whites to either eradicate or indoctrinate those they knew nothing about, except that they were "savages."

Think about it - it seems to boil down to that simple question of: “Why can’t we all just get along” [with one another…why do some think that they are so much better than others]?

Thank you for this report. I sometimes have conversations with people who argue that they got a “good education “ so it was worth it. No, I tell them, Natives were taught to be good servants for whites. And at a huge price. Also, sorry to point out that you misspoke, saying Carlisle started in 1979. Wish Biden had apologized BEFORE the election!

Among evangelicals and other groups in this country, wives belong to their husband and mustobey their husbands, including voting the way their husbands tell them to vote. This was simply telling those women that they are not chattel and should vote in their own interests (instead of in their husband's best interest). There was nothing wrong with this. Get out of your ivory towers.

It appears your first sentence contradicts your second sentence.

I didn't mean to but I probably was unclear with "this." In the second sentence I meant the advertisement by Julia Roberts and other statements that women did not have to vote however their husbands told them to vote.

Telling women and men that women should hide their votes was a mistake. Democrats made the point that government should stay out of the bedroom. And to the contrary the party now is suggesting in their relationship- to avoid sharing their innermost thoughts.

Actually that puts women at a disadvantage.

I disagree with your interpretation.

While Democrats have made the point that government, the public, friends and family should all stay out of our bedrooms, the Julia Roberts ad is saying your vote is as private as the goings on in one’s bedroom. It’s truly no one’s business. Not even your partner, whether married or not.

Unless Americans FEEL like they are voting for a sound economy the rest is of less value. Joe Biden did a great job with inflation but Kamala stuck her head in the sand about it. I live in NC the voters here in the rural areas have no idea they are voting against public schools. Where is the Democratic Party in the local elections? Everyone is running scared but Donald Trump

Very fine words Sandra…Bidenomics was and is a wonderful thing - but our Federal Reserve Chairman and the Board did a fine job on the monetary side in controlling the flow of dollars through our economic system. Trump can fire his appointed FBI director, but he cannot fire his appointed Fed Chairman! Biden and a somewhat bipartisan Congress did an excellent job on the fiscal side and Jerome Powell and the Board did a good job on the monetary side of our economy!!!

Correction: It was not a party ad but was perceived as one.

Wish someone could track the instances of spousal abuse that occured because of a spouse demanding the spouse vote the way they were told. Believe me, I have seen & heard of all the excuses for abuse & voting rights are one form of abuse. How do we help them heal?
