It seems that all these MAGA voters just don't care of who died for this great nation, neither in the Civil War nor in WWII, when more than 400,000 US soldiers gave their lives to defeat fascism. Maybe having all these religious schools, home schooling, and lack of positive role models is finally catching up with us.

This isn't about mis- or disinformation. Our current times and the outcome of the 2024 Presidential Election specifically are about selfishness without moral compass and lack of regards for the great American experiment. It is telling that especially so many young men voted for a demented 78 year old felon.

Lincoln's words are welcome as we Americans enter into another period of turbulence and instability.

In fifth grade I was the first kid to recite The Gettysburg Address in front of the class, word for word... without a mistake. Now, seventy-eight years old, I still haven't received the gold star sticker to put on my forehead.

Hearing these words makes me want to fight tyranny even harder. My family has been here for over 400 years, fought in every war American ever had, built this country with blood, sweat, toil, and treasure. I will not hand it over to ignorance, hatred, and greed.

Lincoln's speech was excellent. It is a sad time now that so many of our leaders seem to be headstrong working to do the opposite.

Heather, I continue to be so grateful for all your knowledge and all the effort you put into keeping us informed of our country’s roots and current day events. I have learned more from you over the last year then all my 67 proceeding years. I am a far more informed citizen because of you. Thanks so much!

its so sad that Lincoln'swords will be buried along with those graves. We are no longer a nation that strives for equality.

Let’s consider Lincoln’s words as we move forward to honor the sacrifice of those who gave their lives to bring us thus far. And to fight for our future and our children and their children. Thank you for this reminder 🇺🇸

I don’t remember what grade I was in when I was required to memorize the Gettysburg Address. So much is said in so few words. We are indeed involved in a great struggle today, but not on a literal battlefield. The outcome could have far more significance than the battle of Gettysburg. There are forces engaged in destroying this great nation, and I wonder how the man trying to exact vengeance rather than defending this nation can be stopped.
