This purge of the generals also threatens the honor ethos that has been carefully fostered over generations. That is so valuable and so difficult to rebuild.

Watch the NSA General staff and leadership. They will all get fired and probably former General Mike Flynn will take over NSA. A month later, a lot of jounalist will get fired, maybe one or two jailed so the press corps falls in line. Those that don't, will start falling out high rise windows or suddenly die in car crashes. Just like in Russia.

That was to be expected... Everyone voting for the Orangeman knew what they were getting and voted for him anyway or stayed home.

Whether it was the high prices of groceries or the obvious lack of Democratic support for Palestine or that the country needed to be run like a business ...

Everyone had their petty reasons to turn the USA into yet another hellhole autocracy. Pretty sure many people will regret their vote in the next few months as we're about to find out if the Senate can be the guardrail protecting #UsThePeople - not holding my breath, though.

There will be dragons!

It's better for our Democracy that the corruption is unmistakably visible. The thing is that there has always been corruption at one level or another. As humans, we are all perfectly imperfect. It is my greatest hope that the brave souls who are willing to stand up and. speak out will continue to do so. And to the best of my ability, I will stand with them. We are all capable of helping in one way or another. We are all each other's teachers. There is only one absolute in life and that is change.

Wake me up!

Trump is ineligible according to the Constitution to hold office because he is an oath-breaking insurrectionist. He has conned and gamed his way back to office thanks to a vulnerable low information electorate. He is not only about to take that oath to the Constitution again, but it sounds like he's got a wrecking ball ready and building force. If the Senate approves these wholly unfit characters he has lined up for vital offices, his cabinet and other offices, the Senate will be complicit in the destruction and unmaking of our government. It will take years to recover. if we do. This is revolution and insurrection, not conservatism.

True conservatives, ironically, appear to be the Democrats who want to preserve what we have built for almost 250 years. What a celebration would that be over the ashes of what we have kept going and building proudly as a multicultural representative democracy.

And that destruction will happen because in this critical election our "dear" oppositional voters were willing to elect this crook, this ill-willed self serving conman, they say because of (what) inflation and a trumped up false idea about immigrants or Gaza or nebulous ideas about "elites". Some were so tuned out altogether, did not care, or have fallen for incessant lies of right wing media. Or they were not ready for a woman president (demonstrably qualified). Many just stayed home.. including democrats. I don't deserve this, you don't deserve this, but they do deserve what's coming. However we are on the same ship... unless you are leaving. I am not. Even then, this will affect the world.

Assuming Trump can't overturn the Constitution's two-term limit, how will the movement continue beyond 2028 without its charismatic leader? The slimness of Trump's popular-vote majority suggests that one initiative the MAGA movement will continue to push is the attack on free elections. How can we counteract this threat to the democratic process?

Graduating West Point cadets all take an oath of loyalty to the U.S. Constitution, not to the President. I believe all military personnel do so too. Perhaps Dump will try to change that.

All this bad news will go away once we find out for sure that the election was rigged by Elon Musk. Does that sound crazy? Not so much. Trump always points away from himself and accuses others of what he's going to do or what he's already done. But this time, he couldn't help telling us in more ways than one that the election was already in the bag. All his followers needed to do was go out and vote to make it look legitimate. There were several cases of these, including telling Christians they'd never have to vote after this time, or telling his followers, "We've already laid the groundwork for victory; all you need to do is go out and vote." Take just a single state like Pennsylvania, do a paper recount, and see how closely it correlates to what we were told the totals were.

Well, I’ve been contemplating joining substack for a while, and Heather’s posts have been a significant motivation to do so, alas, not in the way anyone following imagined. I have never seen so many lemmings sublimating themselves to such deceptive and ill conceived precepts about the direction of this country and our government. So I will be the voice of contradiction in a pleasant attempt to open the eyes of many here, who only see from one eye and not the other, or only see one side of the aisle with ever looking at the other. I would also like to apologize in advance for any issues with spelling or punctuation as a voice text everything and don’t often have enough time to go back and read every single line but I’m sure the intelligence of the audience here will be able to decipher the details that I unveil.
