Here in NH, and in many other states where Republicans control state government, there are bills moving forward that will make the teaching of anything "controversial" illegal in public schools. If the First Amendment is to mean anything, those laws cannot stand. Given the Trump/McConnell court-packing schemes, though, I'm not sure the First will survive this onslaught.
