Jenny K, it is you who lacks understanding of the Trump regime. Donald doesn't give a rat's ass about local farmers or "whole foods." He eats garbage from Big Burgers, for god's sake!

When Donald talks about "America First," he's not referring to Mom-and-Pop America, but to Corporate America. His revenues – in campaign donations, pay-for-play and protection tribute – come from the C-suites at big corporations, not from the little guys.
Further, no Democrat is trading their Tesla for a "gas-guzzling" Ford. Ford and every other domestic automaker offer EVs and hybrids, all of higher quality than Tesla.
Clearly, Donald has fooled you and all the other MAGA cult faithful, but not the rest of us. I took your bait by responding, but I'm done with you now.
Kelly bought a Chevy Tahoe Z71, not a Ford, so my previous statement is still true.
He's publicly explained why he ditched the Tesla, but not why he bought the Tahoe with an ICE. There could be any number of reasons. Perhaps, ownership of the Tesla taught him that Arizona's charging infrastructure sucks, as it does in most states.
Chevy doesn't offer an electric full-size SUV. Cadillac's Escalade EV claims a long range, but base price is $130,000.00, which is serious money even on a senator's salary, especially when he has other expenses, such as continuing medical care for his wife.
Whatever his reasons, his vehicle-trading decision is not an example of what other Democrats are doing, as was asserted by Jenny K.

Sadly, senator Mark Kelly traded in his Tesla for a gas SUV.

ISn't there a principle involved?
