And what if a Catholic splinter group selected women as the leaders of their reformed Catholic Church? There are hundreds of nuns and parochial school teachers that are leaders.

The patriarchy in the Catholic Church is and always has been one of the Catholic Churches (and many other) major problems.

You are spot on- the patriarchal hierarchy is so dysfunctional. Women need to hold power, and leaders need to marry. What’s with expecting human beings to remain celibate their entire life?

Good for you…. Reality check!!!!

There is at least one such Catholic Church. They have women priests and identify as Catholics. Of course they were summarily excommunicated. Doomed to eternity in hell for their "heresy". https://spirituschristi.org/

Yes the Romans got a hold of the story and wrote it to make men powerful and Jesus more like a warrior…they were marketing this to those who fight and like their gods strong. In truth the human Jesus was a teacher and community leader..the first liberal after all! If you check out the Jeffersonian Bible it becomes pretty obvious that once you get rid of the miracles, and read what he said, these are good lessons for a strong community--DEI!.

Of course, for almost 2000 years it has been about forging and keeping power. First the Romans and then the churches and their kings. But ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident’ is really pretty cool, if we lived! Like Joe, and the real Christians.
