It is very hard to understand a sociopathic mind unless you are a sociopath. Most of us here are not sociopaths, and so we are baffled by the bizarreness to this awful human and his equally awful bunkmates.

Trump talks about "respect" which I was taught was something one earned. Trump's idea of respect seems to present as Caligula's adopted utterance of "Let them hate as long as they fear". As General Milley said of Trump's pretend militias, "These are the same people we fought in World War II,”.
And that earned respect? It seems to be plummeting abroad.
JL- yeah that respect is plummeting abroad and hopefully here as well.
Should we be asking our Republican friends that depend on SS to live, what they are going to do when the payments stop or when you have to drive to the closest SS office to continue receiving benefits?
Gary, am I wrong in thinking that local SSoffices will be closed as well? Hopefully I’m deluded. However, I think it’s the maggots who are destroying everything that’s been created for our once thriving creative democracy for their personal enrichment.
Rather than sociopaths, this mal-administration seems to attract psychopaths whose motto is destroy, lie, deport, starve. And. I’d be interested in knowing exactly who, or how many are withholding their annual taxes? And how precisely are you doing that?
J L - these people confuse respect with fear, thinking they are one in the same. The difference is, when one has respect - people will step up to help, when one is feared, people will happily join the resistance to them helping them fail.
Unfortunately throughout history there have been those who deify tyrants. Confuse them with an authoritarian parent perhaps or overwhelmed with life's uncertainties fall for "only I can fix it". And as in Woodstock there is a rush to being part of a like-minded crowd, for the good and the bad of that. Some will and have been willing to sacrifice their lives for a tyrant; but based on illusion. Respect worthy of respect is based on authenticity.

Ask them if they made a mistake or were wrong. That will be the tell.

You are not wrong samani, as of today, but who knows with King Flip-flopper.
The offices won’t all be closed right away—but many are and possibly eventually all will be.
