You keep arguing that reality isn’t reality. The committee has subpoena power, it was duly formed via House resolution. You may not like that, but it’s true. McCarthy was given the opportunity to consult with Pelosi, and he nominated 5 Republicans. Two of them are conspirators, and will likely be investigated by the committee, so could not be part of it. Pelosi told McCarthy the other three could join the committee. McCarthy threw a tantrum and withdrew all his nominations, and refused to cooperate further. This is also true. Pelosi named Kinzinger and Cheney to the committee. Pelosi can name whomever she likes to the committee, from either party. McCarthy had an opportunity to nominate others but he threw it away (McCarthy is not very smart). Everything about the committee is legal. You don’t like that, so you make sh*t up. Why do you continuously push baloney? And then, after we debunk it, you push it again and again? Is there anywhere that this works for you? Because it’s not working here.

It would seem that you're the one whose arguments aren't tethered to reality.

You say the committee was duly formed, but it doesn't have the requisite thirteen members.

Your statement that McCarthy "threw a tantrum" seems to be your delicious fantasy.

You fantasize that two of McCarthy's picks were "conspirators." Are you a conspiracy theorist?

Underlying all this is the absurd assertion in the House resolution that the January 6 riots were "terrorism."

You have already openly admitted that you lie boldly.

You say that "everything about the committee is legal," but without the requisite thirteen members, it was never duly formed, so it lacks subpoena power.

[Of course that is a matter for (politicized) courts to decide.]
