There's a difference between today's story and prior stories. Before this judge read through Eastman's emails and other documents, there was no hard evidence of Trump's illegal actions. He looked guilty as sin, but without either documented evidence, or sworn testimony, there was not enough to charge Trump. Now it looks like there is.

There's a reason that Trump tears up notes from meetings, refuses to use email himself, and demands oaths of loyalty from his associates. He doesn't leave evidence of his crimes. Unfortunately for Trump, Eastman is about to be forced to give up the documents that contain the evidence of his and Trump's crimes.

I believe that this is why Merrick Garland has been ¨waiting¨. There needs to be an airtight case.
