I feel like we are living in a grade B movie and one bizarre character after another prances out on stage for more shock value. Shakespeare must have been a genius about humanity-- about this comic tragedy. Yin and yank. That is why I love this Heather's substack where people actually can communicate and learn with others. Thank you, Vince, this has been a great experience--I had to take a break for awhile from politics and today was my first real dip back. Pleased to meet you! Appears you might be Vince the Lion-Hearted One (or Leo).
Hello! Thank you for your thoughtful response. Back atcha! Republicans are deplete of compassion, care and humanity. I am confident there are some like them in the Democratic Party (I am an Independent and have been for years). But Republicans get the trophy for performative nastiness, lying, deception, foolishness, brash immaturity and full disregard for our constitutional democratic republic. At times I feel so much rage, anger and outrage that I, too, must pull away from time to time. Republicans are so miserable and disloyal in their own skin they must try to seduce us into their blatant, sordid misery. Misery loves company! I refuse to join their dreary, dismal parade.
There is a very interesting episodic film called Messiah: So That Seeing They May Not See. I started to watch it a second time after a few years and suddenly understand what the film is trying to say about Confusion being necessary to break us up out of patterns and complacency.
I cannot remember if I ever finished the series the first time around, but really find a parallel with the message of needing to create change and how that happens from within each one of us. First we experience the harsh upside down alternative realities and lies that force us to think and act so we can evolve. I might be wrong, but I think that is the message I am getting from this film. Very thought provoking. Cheers!
By the way, your reference to the Lion and "Leo" resonated resoundingly with me. My rising sign is "Leo". The Lion is in my avatar, the Lion Rampant of Scotland. That avatar is not here, obviously.
