History has shown us, more than once, what is ahead. We are watching the Hitler buildup and we know where that took us. Putin is just waiting to make his move. Trump is so insecure he actually thinks Putin likes him--yeah--he's the puppeteer for trump/pinocchio. And the rest of the world doesn't trust the United States which was once a world power, now a laughing stock.

We are 7-8 WEEKS into this debacle, what will this country look like in 25 weeks? I'm ashamed, embarrassed, sad that so many people seem to think this is ok. This country was warned what would happen and now it's here. Do you who voted for trump think he's doing the right thing?

Wait til your rights, freedoms, benefits are taken away--trump won't come to rescue you, he'll have more for himself and that is his goal. You just cannot fix stupid!

The Democrats have NOTHING to offer except doom and gloom because "Trump is literally Hitler!"

Every Republican President since Eisenhower has been called a Nazi by the Democrats. Every one. Obviously the majority who voted for Trump aren't buying it anymore. Ask yourself why your Democrats can't find any valid reason to change peoples' minds - they have nothing.

The Democrat party in DC has no plan for the country, no leader, no policies other than the ones we just rejected after 4 years of horror, and absolutely no credibility. Its favorability rating is sucking canal water.

The Republicans are garnering high favorability ratings for every one of Trump's policies: closing the border, exporting illegal criminals, cutting the size and cost of government, saving women's safe spaces by barring males from women's sports, cutting taxes and regulations to stimulate the economy, focusing on the classroom instead of the bathroom. .

You just had your chance and you got voted out.

If the Repugnican budget bill passes the Senate, the DC city budget could be cut by around one billion dollars. Your group of Nazis are defunding the police. Hope you don’t expect any public safety when you visit the capitol to worship the J6 insurrectionists! But it doesn’t matter where you live - you will feel the loss of public safety, public health (especially rural hospitals); the loss of public education (except as deemed by each state, or which many are backward, and most of those, Republicans control); and the loss of national security. Bird flu? Deal with it: these clowns have already cut many of the federal employees that would be needed; and cut all the research under way mid-stream. It won’t be long before their Social Security and Medicare. Why? Because the Repugnican budget before the Senate right now calls for $880 Billion of cuts, ostensibly to Medicaid; but everyone except folks like you already know that they won’t succeed is defunding Medicaid. Where do they go to get that kind of money? How about what the Dog Elon calls “the greatest Ponzi scheme of all time”, Social Security! And since the Dog Co-King feels that way about the programs we paid into, it doesn’t really matter what the Would-be Dictator Co-King thinks; he will be forgiven. You and people like you, who put these people into power, will have no one to blame other than yourselves as you watch everything go to hell. And FEMA? It is dealing with over 600 natural (or other) disasters, some 20 years old. Last year: at least 27 natural disasters that cost at least $ one billion each? You think the giant orange turd is going to save you from the next natural sister? He doesn’t even believe in climate change, since sound so would affect his bottom line. So I can assure you, he doesn’t give a rat’s behind for you, me or any of us “NFPs”, as he and the Dog Elon like to call the rest of us behind closed doors. Sieg Heil!

Dems had a bi partison plan for the border Trump shot down, there has been no comprehensive immigration policy for over 30 years. Tarrifs only work if said products are made in USA , if they are not the people pay the tarrifs with higher market prices. Biden left Trump low interest rates, 16 000000, created jobs, in going infrastructure projects , chip manufacturing in USA , clean energy jobs. Lower drug prices, and went after corporation cheat. What has Trump done? Crashing the stock market. Raising costs for goods, firing government workers and closing government departments without congress approval, threathening 1st and 14 amendment rights. He is a monster, and he will pay..dearly

I don’t know how old you are or where you receive your information but I have not heard every Republican referred to as a Nazi. I have heard most Democrats referred to as communists, I was, ironically called that today. Here’s the thing, for all of my voting life, until 2016, I was an Independent voter. In my lifetime, I have voted for more Republican candidates than I have Democratic ones. In fact I worked for 40 years for elected officials and most of these years my boss was a Republican. I voted for the person, not the party. Today, I don’t agree with every policy of the Democratic Party. However, I have been forced to vote a straight Democratic Party ticket because of the irresponsibility and irrational behavior of the Republican party and its supporters. The single fact that Donald Trump—a serial, lying grifter, who mocked a disabled reporter and bragged about getting away with assaulting women, was the candidate in 2016 was bad enough but to have the feckless Republican Congress members vote against impeachment after January 6 and then make him—a convicted felon—their candidate again, proved to me that they no longer owed allegiance to this country or it’s constitution but to the party and only the party. I want to go back to being an independent. I want to have a choice in candidates again. I want to have faith that while my Republican or Democratic representatives don’t always support what I support, they also still care about all of the citizens in their districts and not just those who voted for them. However, right now, we are in danger of losing our chance for any real elections to occur ever again. We are in danger of losing our country. We have more in common than you think. I wish you well.

Or do YOU want to leave it alone and allow untold numbers of fraudsters to steal from us forever? I do not. Something must be done, and the DEMS have NEVER done anything except throw insults at Republicans who question the obvious fraud , accuse the GOP of "pushing granny off the cliff" and never try to come up with a plan to overcome it. We didn't really get voted out, Bonnie. Please give some facts a thought:

1. Gerrymandering since 2020 has been first and foremost in the 4 year agenda of the Ex-President who never accepted he lost (pschological tactic - keep repeating stop the steal and weak people will believe it). He continued with Project 2025, yes it was in place that long ago, you can also reference CPI (Conservative Partners Institute) an organization whereby real estate has been bought by MAGA devotees to train folks for Project 2025 agenda.

2. Voter Suppression has eliminated many voters who did/would have voted and been counted, had it not been for the ongoing conservative judges that turned a blind-eye to this agenda, yes it happened.

3. Trump himself brazenly & publicly thanked the richest man in the world for having his Muskites - acolyte "techies" tamper with PA voter registry and outcomes. "He's really good with that computer stuff"

Yes, he is doing everything he said he would, appalling as it is. I agree with those saying wait until it shows up at your doorstep, buyers remorse can be very painful. THINK. he is cutting our money and education. He likes penniless, uneducated folks who like to be told what to do without thinking for themselves.

Agree completely. Another point: many of those eligible to vote chose not to, for whatever reason is beyond me. The point being: Trump only got around one-third of the votes that were cast. He did not win the popular vote; he only one a plurality of something like 49.8 of the votes; third party candidates won some votes. So the Repugnicans are ramming their Project 2025 right down every citizen’s throat, whether they like it or not (it seems that you like it). This without any real “mandate”, given that he got only one-third of eligible voters who actually voted. Gee, thanks?

Destroying our economy is part of “the plan”. Read Shane Almgren’s excellent Substack newsletter where he ties Musk and JD Vance with Curtis Yarvin’s shocking philosophy (he wants to DESTROY democracy.

“We Are Headed For a Tech CEO DICTATORSHIP”

“Elon Musk, JD Vance, and Peter Thiel are executing a long-planned agenda to take over the government. Donald Trump is just a dementia-addled old man along for the ride, ranting about windmills and magnets and taking over canals, and content to just sign large pieces of papers for the TV cameras all day.”

~ Shane Almgren

https://open.substack.com/pub/shanealmgren/p/democracy-is-done-the-rise-of-corporate

Curtis Yarvin has been the prominent influencer of what is currently occurring in the exponential dismantling of our government and democracy.

Excerpts from Wikipedia about Curtis Yarvin:

"If Americans want to change their government," he said, "they're going to have to get over their dictator phobia."[46]

Yarvin's ideas have been influential among right-libertarians and paleolibertarians, and the public discourses of prominent investors like Peter Thiel have echoed Yarvin's project of seceding from the United States to establish tech-CEO dictatorships.[50]

Venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, an informal adviser to Donald Trump, has spoken approvingly of Yarvin's thinking.[51] Political strategist Steve Bannon has read and admired his work.[16]

Vice-president JD Vance has cited Yarvin as an influence, saying in 2021,

"So there's this guy Curtis Yarvin who has written about these things," which included "Retire All Government Employees," or RAGE, written in 2012. Vance said that if Trump became president again, I think what Trump should do, if I was giving him one piece of advice: Fire every single midlevel bureaucrat, every civil servant in the administrative state, and replace them with our people. And when the courts stop you, stand before the country and say, 'The chief justice has made his ruling. Now let him enforce it.'"[17][52]

“…Hey, Congress, give me absolute power, or I'll take it anyway.”

[His] relationship with the investor-entrepreneur Thiel is his most important connection."[15]Thiel was an investor in Yarvin's startup Tlon…

In 2016, Yarvin privately asserted to Milo Yiannopoulos that he had been "coaching Thiel"

Yarvin has pointed to a 2009 essay by Thiel, in which the latter declared: "I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible... Since 1920, the vast increase in welfare beneficiaries and the extension of the franchise to women—two constituencies that are notoriously tough for libertarians—have rendered the notion of 'capitalist democracy' into an oxymoron."[55]

In a May 2021 conversation, Anton said Yarvin was arguing that a president could "gain power lawfully through an election, and then exercise it unlawfully."

He sounds like a fever dream of the Left who thinks they can blame for all Trump's alleged and utterly fanciful intentions to become a dictator. BOY would you LOVE to see Trump do that!

Instead Trump is actively declining power and sending it out to the individual cabinet members (to define who is excess to needs and what directives are irrelevant to the departments' mandates) and to the States, - eg abortion ,education. He is actively declining to tell any department what to do, leaving it to each nominated department head to carry our their duties themselves, THIS is NOT the sign of a dictator.,

Yes, I agree with Shane, as far as he goes. And I think HCR has missed one significant reason as to "Why is he (Trump) doing this?" I think PUTIN is pushing Trump to destroy America. And it happens to coincide with the oligarch's plan, at least for the moment.
