Brrrrrr and brrrrrrrr. Swim Elk river from the bridge over 101 through Sweet’s and Knapp’s and McKenzie’s then turn north and follow the river to its mouth at Cape Blanco which lies between Sixes river and Elk river. You will be at the farthest reach of the Left Coast. Therein dip your toes sparingly. Brrrrr. We always said you can see China from there, but that is for the Chechakos.
Dang it, you guys! You are making me even more homesick. I've actually been having dreams about when I took my kids camping on the coast, and doing those very things (well, not swimming- that is very very cold water for sure). My favorite spot was Oswald West beach, because cars couldn't get down, and all the campers ended up like an extended family. sigh. Want home.
Welcome to the Left Coast!! My toes love the Pacific Ocean!

It’s still there Annie, every single day, whether we are or not.
