Edwin, the name 'Wagner' was chosen by Wagner's first commander, who named it 'Wagner' after his radio call sign.

Pleasure to know that. But, could it be possible that they also draw inspiration from Richard Wagner, the German artist whom the Nazis used his songs to wage their anti-semitic campaign?

Why spread rumors? I think it is better to state the facts. You may be correct, but I prefer evidence as scapegoating is so common and harmful as you well know of the Nazis using it to such lethal effect.
