Please understand, Rose, I’m not grumping about the strike. But these talk show host can’t even write their own stuff!
Geeze, I’m not a literary genius, and I can write stuff from the news for them every night. They should be able to be smart enough to write a 15 minute commentary for the beginning of their shows. Actually, throw in the commercials that 15 minutes is cut to about 7 minutes.
I had no knowledge about what the strike was all about, but these talk shows and other programs these folks wrote for have won all kinds of awards. They should be able to pay these writers. Plus give them benefits.
There’s not one excuse these desk-hugging millionaires can say. All they’re interested in is the money, and it has to be from big into their pocket. It’s ridiculous.
And also the inspiration of many late-night comedians.
The Writers strike needs to end. We need Steven Colbert back now. He’s missed so many golden moments the last few weeks.
Bit they are all fuming with this good material, being unused by them at any rate.
