I disagree. If President Biden is up to the job, I believe he will win; close, but a victory all the same. I think people will come to see him as I do: older, yes, but with the wisdom and experience to compensate. Much like the over-the-hill pitcher who refines the subtlety of his craft to keep taking the mound on a hot summer's evening.

Yes, but ultimately except for maybe Satchel Paige, when the elderly over the hill pitcher doesn't have it anymore (and to me, Biden clearly doesn't have it) its time to give the ball to a younger relief pitcher.

It's our (Democrats') best chance to win.

And I sincerely regret any offense, but there are SO MANY people who seem to be lost in some Biden "idolatry" and aren't willing to entertain ANY thought that they might be wrong.

Election day will bring the shocking news to them, I think. Sorry that we disagree and I hope all of you come to your senses before it is too late :(. I too and a devoted Democrat for 50+ years, so this doesn't make me happy. In fact it makes me very very sad.

Thank you for the apology. This is an emotionally charged issue, so I can get flapped out easily. I trust President Biden, together with Dr Biden, to make the right decision. As to what I think.

First it does not really matter what I think. Second, I really do not know enough about the situation to make up my mind. I was disappointed when President Biden announced he would run again. But that was then and today is now.

The debate performance was discouraging and people have to face that fact. If the President should retire, there will be plenty of time, even allowing for an open convention, to get the word out through the social and mass media.

Yes, I was put off, too.
