My understanding is that this was a joke/fake news post on a social media site, that was actually picked up by the Associated Press as something “real” to be fact-checked. It has since been taken down from the AP website. However, this should be a lesson for us all: Getting your news from social media is like getting your drinking water out of the bowl of a public toilet - it’s not doctor-recommended.
The DEALIO is, it's not logical but--social memes shape the narrative. It was hard for me to grasp that everyone can know it's fake, but still enjoy, and shape perception of the targetted person.
