I think the Trump campaign was caught flat-footed by Biden’s stepping aside and, basically, replacement by Harris. Their primary attack on Biden was his frailty and age and this is suddenly gone, so they are flailing. I was amused by an op-ed in the NYT yesterday by Jonathan Alter, in which he said “Fellas, the orthopedic shoe is now on the other foot, and now it’s Trump who looks decrepit compared with Harris.” Yes, indeed. They will still bash Harris on border security and inflation/prices, of course.
I have thought for years now that Trump is really not a “leader” or “strongman”, as he is sometimes characterized. He is, in the words of Iosef Stalin, “a useful idiot”. He is just a means to an end for: (1) The wealthy (Elon Musk and Peter Thiel, I’m looking at you) to reduce their taxes and regulations on their businesses, (2) Christo-fascists/Nationalists to force their religious values down everyone else’s throats, and (3) White Supremacists/Nationalists to oppress those they consider lesser beings than themselves - especially immigrants from certain countries.
That video with Harris and Biden at the campaign office brought me to tears. This has been such a hard month since the debate, but the energy and excitement is so palpable. I'm so grateful to Joe Biden for his great, heroic heart and also wisdom in the timing of his decision. I believe the contrast between MAGA regressiveness and the democracy coalition's energy and positivity is going to work steadily in favor of our victory in these short remaining days!
That RFK part, while a relief on one hand is hair-raising on the other. He's looking for a portfolio of health and medical issues!? What will it be next, bleeding with leaches and banning menstruating women to a tent in the woods?
RFK is like the eccentric uncle that comes to visit for two-weeks at the holidays and you just wish he didn’t walk around the house with his bathrobe open…
I always received Letters via e-mail and read them regularly. Then I felt I should pay for it. Now Letters come as audio and I don’t want audio. I also need a password which is tedious.
I pay to subscribe and I receive both the written Letters and notices of the Podcasts in my e-mail in-box. Go to the upper right and click on the circle with the down arrow. This will bring up a drop-down menu and in there you can check your Settings and Manage Subscription. I think there are buttons to change what and content/e-mails you receive. I am using an iPad and the Safari browser - I’m not sure if this would look different on your device.

Simon Rosenberg just said he is a "baby man", not a strong man! But he is definitely Putin's useful idiot too!
And as we saw on Jan. 6, 2021, he is also a very dangerous man.
TY
I am amused by the MAGA crowd's total inability to understand a peaceful exchange of power.

I do not want the audio version of your program. I want the written version that I got as a non-payer.
I see a "transcript" button - it may have text you can read.

I am so tired of them. All bluster and no substance.

Thanks - I will try it.
