Even if not convicted she will have been detained, harassed and threatened. And has to be represented in court. And has a family. Much of the time, when at the site, if not arrested, protesters are harassed and denied simple and necessary things. Where is a sense of connection, compassion, empathy? Has there ever been? This continuing struggle for their land shows that the native people and their land will not be protected. We think about meaningful reparations not token, but there is a sizable number of citizens who don’t believe they have to apologize. Same group not believing African slaves were transported against their will? And How many of the violent protesters were arrested on J6? “The video is being used as evidence that Matteson conspired, aided, and abetted people who trespassed on the pipeline corridor in a separate incident. Matteson was not present at the incident in question.” Why is this trespassing and why is either being there or not a crime?
