Wow. So very kind of you. Thank you!! I will.
I participate in AARP's Staying Sharp and take the tests every 3 months with baited breath. I am also part of the University of Exeter's dementia research. Doing what I can.

Fern is very kind! Soak up her good intentions! We all appreciate her support in these pages. All the best to you. As a nurse I can tell you there are many causes of forgetfulness as we age including urinary tract infections and yeast infections (some research now suggests plaque laid down with yeast in the brain looks similar to Alheimers but is all reversible with treatment of the yeast and decreased sugar in diet). Long Haulers or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome can cause fibro-fog.
Miselle, you are doing what you can do to take care of yourself. Your brother is in relatively good hands even though his brilliant mind has left him. My dad had dementia and it was very hard to watch the decline. This was a man who read two books a week and walked 2 miles a day. Once is a great while, he would come back to us for a fleeting moment. That was what I clung onto. I wish you only the best.

42 years a medical technologist, very often saw UAs come from the ER with confusion as a triage diagnosis. Thanks for the good wishes.

Just what you've always shown us -- care, attention, common sense, thoughtfulness and spirit. Brava!
