It's still just as bad that it almost happened, but no, we were not so close to real tanks rolling in the streets of DC.
And yet remember what the military did so that defeated corrupt x45 could walk across the street to hold a Bible upside down and threaten and bully BLM peaceful protesters. The threats made by the “patriot” are truly horrific. More arrests are needed and quickly.
Yes, I’m sure this is correct. What I’m less certain about is what the Joint Chiefs would have done if Pence had corrupted the Electoral Vote count. Do you have some insight on whether the Joint Chiefs would have had enough confidence in their interpretation of the Constitution to refuse orders from a sitting president with the outcome of the election made less certain in this way? More generally, how vulnerable is the US military to believing themselves required to follow orders from a Commander in Chief when facing questions about Constitutionality that serious Constitutional scholars might disagree on?

Not even in trumpty-dumpty's N. Korean style of self-aggrandizing all powerful "look-At-Me" parade...that was cancelled due to lack of sufficient worshipers, Eh!?
