Thanks, Gus! We're back in Mérida where it's "icy"*... cool (70°F) & drizzling. Frankly, we're relieved that the elephant in the room was finally called the elephant in the room and we're free of it.

*I swear to you, icy is what "cool" weather is called here. Imagine my surprise when, my first winter here, I went into stores to find parkas, sweaters and other cold weather gear on sale.

Been holding you in safe travel thoughts. Could feel you in the States. Finally getting a cool weather front for a few days in Florida. Rummaging for my jackets. Only thing “cool” in FL. DeSantis still MIA.

Many thanks for your good & positive energy, Christine, it means a lot to me.🌷Is DeSantis hiding out in Cancun for the holidays😆? (Here the holidays don't end till the epiphany. )

I also celebrate 12 days of Christmas which actually begins with Christmas. I’ll enjoy festive decorations for a few more days. I think DeSantis has something else going on. His wife is quite ill with cancer which makes his political stance with Covid even more ridiculous. Resentful rumblings about his conduct getting louder.

I love the 12 Days of Christmas, too. When our daughter was small it was also an easy way to manage the Christmastide...A little joy every day as opposed to an onslaught of sights, sounds & smells in one great lump.

DeSantis's wife's cancer should be a wake-up call for DeSantis and his fan club. It scares me to think about how dangerous undergoing chemo/rad is during a pandemic. I guess some people are content living lives filled with ignorance & brutish behavior.
