Using an accountant was just a way to sidestep the stress and ours was an ex-student who developed her own business. You have no idea about the situation of each taxpayer In fact, looking at all your recent posts, I see a pattern. You are just here to voice your libertarian views and show us that you are the smartest person in the room. Btw, I also had my students write a short essay on what would happen without government. A few of the males thought it would be wonderful to run wild, but even they eventually came around.
You get a notice that your vote was counted, but for whom? A bank receipt doesn't just tell me that a deposit has been made, it tells me how much and to which account.

I have never advocated for no government, so you are constructing a strawman. Government should be limited to infrastructure and law enforcement, not bailouts and tax credits for the rich.
If you have a business it is all but impossible to file taxes without an accountant. Personal income taxes for wage earners is simple, but the tax code is designed for rich people to cheat, and that requires accountants. An honest businessman also has to employ one just to get his rightful refund for business expenses, depreciation and such. The forms are simply not navigable by the average business person.
