(He was referring to the Ottawa trucker's protest, which, like Jan. 6 is inchoate, a tempest in a teapot, with little truth to the outrage, but like the events listed in this column today, it is magnified by goading from behind.) Mr. Snyder insinuated that Facebook is complicit (I imagine because it allows political discourse among those it deems of like minds, even if it is absurdly inaccurate.) We know that misinformation was cued-up by Putin in the 2016 election, in the outcome of the Mueller report, et al.) I believed Mr. Snyder. It behooves us to be on our toes about the forces small and large in Putin's deviousness. His hackers are constantly exploring the net for signs of Western weakness. It all frightens me, to tell the truth. It is not difficult to unite unlearned people, including so many Republican officials with racist, misogynist, authoritarian dog whistles. Today, I feel small, but I know that information, good information like today's LFAA is our best weapon. Nevertheless, the magnitude of wealth, pig-headedness and obstructionism of the world's right wing is sometimes terrifying. Violence, even war is never far behind.
