Today teachers need hazard pay. The situation at our son's very overcrowded high school is tragic. Teachers were already overworked, but with Covid they're at wits' end. Here and everywhere, watch for record resignations when the school year ends.
We are in a world of hurt when our public education system, already hobbled with problems for years and now under an ideological attack, declines. The effects on young people, not to mention society, are lasting.

...and then there is also a nursing shortage, and a national blood shortage. However there is no Republican demagoguery shortage.
Despite their best attempts to wipe out their base by advocating vaccine refusal (and thus death from Covid). smh
