Hello, Armand. I attended a "National Day of Protest - #NotMyPresidentsDay" · Indivisible event on Monday, and have every intention of participating in the "February 28 Economic Boycott." You note marching in great numbers next week. I haven't heard of any protests and with a quick search haven't seen mention of a march. Do you know of any planned nationwide? Seems I may be missing something. Thank you.
We must blame ourselves, our refusal of teaching historical facts with critical review, watering down of scientific understanding, grade inflation, removal of civics and home economics, and blaming "others" for our self inflected problems. Not spending on Feb 28 is not enough. Shop elsewhere every day for a month. Sell your stock in these companies also. It will hurt them the most if there are massive sell offs. When Bezos pulled the endorsement of Harris, I canceled my WaPo subscription, my Amazon Prime membership & stopped going to Whole Foods. I thought I would miss Amazon, but I have found it is very lovely to go to local stores. I don't spend impulsive $ at 2 AM anymore, and I feel great about supporting my community. And if I have to walk more: oh well, it is good for my heart.

If the President succeeds in gaining mineral rights from Ukraine, what law US Law would require him turn all monies gained from those royalties to the US Govt? And what agemcy would be responsible for collecting the funds?
Hello, Debra. Your questions seem legitimate. Though I must say, the thought of the possibility makes me feel ill. "Mineral rights" from Ukraine, the very country whose loss of life and land, the insurmountable destruction and kidnapping of its children are beyond comprehension. Betrayal and indecency have no bounds for the White House occupant. All compassion is lost to him, and I fear what that says of ourselves.
Maybe, just maybe, DOGE/Trump should not have fired the IG’s. Considering the IG’s are the ones who actually rooted out fraud and abuse. I know, I was the manager of the staff who responded to OIG &GAO recommendation’s for the Commissioner of SSA for a number of years. I have now been retired from that career position for 8 years. Even though they watchdogs could be picky, note picky, about some recommendations, they always had the citizens of America best interests. That certainly isn’t what you are seeing now. Without oversight, and DOGE has no oversight, our only defense and hope is the judiciary. Lord knows the Republican Congress has been silent.
The lies Republicans have been telling their constituents for decades will soon come to haunt them, but it won’t matter because they’ll have no more power to worry about losing.
