It never hurts to try to have a conversation with the enemy. But I suggest keeping expectations low. And maybe get surprised on the upside.

And I do bemoan the fact that it is so easy to use the word "enemy" when referring to members of another political party. But that is exactly what they have become. Enemies of everything we hold dear as Americans.

Bill, While I am aware this piece of my activism is not likely to score many points on this platform, as I continue to try and galvanize constituents from Biden-won districts to join me in urging their representatives to reject an agenda that, in my view, has evolved into a slow-moving, so far non-violent version of January 6, I also will resist viewing this particular set of representatives as the enemy.

Unfortunately Fox and friends have been calling Democrats the enemy for 25 years. There's really nothing else to consider when voting. Your guy may be a lying crook, but he's not the enemy because "The enemy of my enemy is my friend".

But Barbara is right if she can begin to humanize people called "Democrat".

Yup. I guess when you have nothing positive or constructive...like helping fellow humans...all that is left is demonizing and fabricating hateful nonsense. It is pathetic.
