Heather, your voice is a pleasure to listen to — It is clear, understandable and you read with feeling. I’m sure that many of your readers will appreciate being able to listen to your column, whether it solves issues of vision loss or time constraints. Thank you for doing this “experiment”.
Fabulous!!! Engaging! Digestible! PS: Loved that the music frames the narrative rather than disrupts/distracts from it as it does with Rachel's podcasts. Thank you HCR!
Thank you for the option of hearing your inspiring, sometimes sad, infuriating, and remarkable Letters. The Lincoln episode had me crying on the streets of San Francisco today, and helped me get my 15k steps too.
I hope you’ll continue doing these if it suits you too.
The only way to get this page thru Substack, that I could find, was to go back to your email and click on the link there. Is this because it is beta? Other posts have the audio imbedded at the top of the post under the heading. Great for start/pause as well! Also, please keep the first 6 secs of the music intro but drop the ending. Compromise. :-)
My husband suffers from acute low vision and can no longer read. But he can listen! Thanks so much for doing this. You and Robert Hubbell begin his day.
I love listening to this with your emphasis, and of course you have a great voice for it. This was my first audio letter…and I’m all for you continuing, Heather! Thank you.
In addition to reading your letters for 2 1/2 years, I have been listening to your Tuesday Politics Chats, your Thursday American history lessons for ~ two years... I have all of your books and on audible as well as your interviews I find on YouTube related primarily to your latest book 'Democracy Awakening!' Do you feel "stalked?" LOL... You have helped so many of us understand the history and the happenings of today. Thank you so much. Rhonda

AUDIO Letters is GREAT! Every Civics class can listen everyday!
If only
Wow! Music!
I guess I always read your letters with your voice in my head, but now I can hear it with my own ears as well!
Boo-yah!
Best believe I will be sharing with others, especially this year, especially before the election!!!
Thanks Professor! And many continuing congratulations!!!

This is perfect! Now I just have to figure out how to download your letters to my phone. Thanks for doing this!
