This is so welcome.. (I'm not wild about the intro shrill jingle choice, which I'm sure was someone else's idea.)

Please dispense with the intro "music."

Otherwise, it's an outstanding idea to get your voice out to as many new people as possible in this critical election year.

Thank you! I really like the audio addition, but do consider dropping the opening "music". It doesn't live up to what you have to say.

Oh hurray!! This is so much better than the automatic robot voice. Thank you, thank you!

Thank you again for this excellent analysis! I wonder why our media channels aren’t mentioning this outrageous mob boss-like threat to NATO allies from Trump when I’m sure this language must be very alarming to them. Instead the media decides to jump on Biden who was vindicated for mishandling classified documents but is still in 300 plus pages in Hur’s report somehow guilty of being elderly and forgetful. I wish more people heard your voice over the noise.

Just listened to this. So glad you are testing an audio version of your letter. I can listen while walking my dog or cleaning the house. Don't see it yet on my podcast app - Pocket Cast. Will it be available there?

Or Spotify. I'm assuming these secondary channels are part of the "roll out".

I use Pocket Cast as well.

So happy you are doing this Heather, it is a great idea.

I don't agree with not having an intro... those of us who have been following you for a while must understand you are attempting to reach a whole new audience. I think it would help this community if you tell us what you want that intro to achieve emotionally.

My opinion is the current intro is too long and a bit intense. You need a signature audio "tagline" that is distinctive, not too long (4-6 seconds), but still plays on a meme that is essentially "America as champion of democracy in a free world". Ideally this becomes the sound that causes people to pause in their day, anticipating that someone they trust has something meaningful to say.

I think this community can handle you iterating this a bit if you want to try some options.

I for one, am grateful for your dedication and insight... every single day. Thank you!

A short intro is good -- maybe a piccolo playing Yankee Doodle?

Heather, thank you for the audio -- I like to walk when I'm concentrating on information. I just don't know how you find time to do all this for us!

Love having audio option. Music REALLY unnecessary

And unpleasant

Loved hearing you narrate the podcast. I would replace the intro music with maybe some sounds from ocean/docks/fishing boats in Maine? Thank you for all you and your staff do...hard to believe our system of democracy is vulnerable enough that we might elect such a flawed individual as tRump and threaten world order. Keep up the good work!

Great to have your own voice Heather rather than the computer voice i've been listening to for the past couple of years. Thanks for taking the time to record.

This is a godsend! My mother LOVES you—we have your book and your audio book (democracy awakening). My mom is 100, has glaucoma, but is otherwise very politically active, a former history teacher. She is THRILLED, thank you so much! I am a subscriber and we look forward every evening to when your letter drops into our email.

I agree with others --I see no plus for having intro music; I just want to get to the meat of your post. I will generally choose to read rather than listen so I can reread sections as I feel necessary, but I do think this is great a great resource for those who would prefer to listen for various reasons. Your voice and reading pace are both EXCELLENT.

Love hearing you read your own words. But I too vote for reconsideration of that intro music.

I think the sequential salad of music in the beginning needs improvement, and the introductor's voice is not sympathetic enough.

Love hearing it in your voice!

Your reading is excellent, I will like listening in the sunshine.
