John, I find that putting the satire inside of < > works well.

Not as powerful to use the /s s/. Or necessary, in my opinion. I won’t post here anymore, so as not to run afoul of your sensibilities.

John Ranta, thanks for the tip to use /s s/. You didn’t run afoul of my sensibilities; I just wanted to know that those on this Substack group were aware what Nikki Haley said. If you go to the link, I think that you’ll find that I’m in agreement with you in principle.

I remain totally confused by your comments. You understood my insertion of “WHITE”? You disagree with my insertion of “WHITE”? You want me to highlight satire? You get satire but want me to follow MLA guidelines for citing sources? The whole thing is tiring, takes all the fun out of commenting, just not worth the effort. I am going to retire from HCR’s blog. You guys work it out.

C'mon, John. Stick around. We agree with your thesis. Don't be offended if a question arises from time to time. We all make unclear remarks from time to time.

I missed the satire and thought that Haley may have said it. That’s why I asked for your sources, thinking that I may have missed a valuable resource.

A lot of the commenters aim to share sources in the spirit of sharing the truth. That’s why we, like HCR, share links to our sources when we feel that others may not have seen them.

I’d urge you not to retire from HCR’s blog—there’s a lot of good information shared here.
