All bend the knee before Shade Queen Professor Heather!

Your closing paragraph gives me such pleasure, Heather!

“Executive Director of Voters of Tomorrow Santiago Mayer pointed out that the last time a Democrat sat in Alaska’s House seat was the same year the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade. ‘If that’s not a…sign,’ he tweeted, ‘I don’t know what is.’”

Congrats to Mary Peltola! Alaskans will be well served when she wins in November.

“The people along the sand

All turn and look one way.

They turn their back on the land.

They look at the sea all day.

As long as it takes to pass

A ship keeps raising its hull;

The wetter ground like glass

Reflects a standing gull.

The land may vary more;

But wherever the truth may be—

The water comes ashore,

And the people look at the sea.

They cannot look out far.

They cannot look in deep.

But when was that ever a bar

To any watch they keep”

I could care less (actually I can’t) about the treason-weasel but I understand why you mentioned it. Clearly the bigger news is the victory in Alaska. As a sign I just saw in a yard declares: Roe Roe Roe Your Vote…

I'm dizzy trying to keep up with the absurd lies and gaslighting. Is there a federal crime for stunning stupidity? And does he secretly want to go to prison? He keeps incriminating himself.

His next TV show will be "Celebrity Inmate Doofus."

Bravo Alaska. It’s beyond time!

Thank you for tonight’s letter.

I was appalled by the article on Trump’s papers being props and I am glad you did not reference it. The author got a lot of negative feedback. It was not worthy of publication.

What a relief to see Palin fail in a comeback.

I also saw where Kemp accused Abrams of voter fraud and that she reminded him she won a court battle with him for removing people from voter rolls.

Here in NM where one voting district was redone, the GOP candidate no longer touts being a Trump Republican nor does she say she is anti-abortionthese days. Of course she hasn’t changed.

“There seems to be confusion as to the ‘picture’ […], as if that’s what the FBI found when they broke into my home. Wrong! They took them out of cartons and spread them around on the carpet….”

Can’t wait to see the dizzying lengths to which his supporters will go to spin him out of this self-incriminating statement. 😵‍💫

'Lindsey Graham Warns That Biden’s Pro-Democracy Rhetoric Could Lead to Voting in the Streets'

August 31, 2022

'Senator Lindsey Graham speaks during a press conference.'

'WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Blasting Joe Biden’s plan to give a prime-time speech on Thursday, Sen. Lindsey Graham warned that the President’s “incendiary pro-democracy rhetoric” could lead to “voting in the streets.”

“President Biden needs to watch his words very, very carefully,” the senator from South Carolina said. “People are on edge right now. Say the wrong thing, and this nation could witness unrestrained, uncontrolled voting.” (Satire, NewYorker)

The double-entendre is delicious, Heather. "His office had classified information in it, and his lawyer just said he entertains guests there. This is an intelligence nightmare." Intelligence could refer to national security, or to Alina Habba....

“His lawyers argued that the FBI’s struggle to recover stolen classified documents was “the standard give-and-take between former Presidents and NARA regarding Presidential library contents.” Yes, of course. Every president steals classified documents. And every president claims he won his election even though millions more Americans voted for his opponent than for him. TFG and his repubs first language is doublespeak.

“His office had classified information in it, and his lawyer just said he entertains guests there.”

I think at this point any lawyer that steps up, er, I mean, down, or whatever, to represent TFG is not likely to be the sharpest legal tack in the box. Missteps by other members of the legal team seem to be consistent with that notion.

My advice; get the full retainer up front. In cash.

Once indicted, he can have a real attorney appointed by the court.

The "standard give-and-take" between Trump and his entourage and agencies of the federal government is, obviously, no such thing. He had to be asked numerous times to turn over papers he stole. He withheld from the National Archives and the F.B.I. many papers of importance, saying that he had already met his obligation and returned all the outstanding items that were called to be returned. This happened in more than one instance, apparently, and the record does not support that he "cooperated" with the government.

Mark Begich of the Democratic Begiches described Mary Pelota as "a pro-choice, pro-fish, common sense leader". We should love having as many Democratic Members of Congress as possible who are pro-choice and pro-fish.
