After decades of barn door size loopholes we are finally starting a bit more serious. Amazing how long things actually take to go into effect, but unless TFG wins and fires the entire FinCen organization, we might see some traction in 2026. Better late than never, I guess.
Why was the Capital not defended from rioter's Jan 6; why was the SCOTUS allowed to be stacked instead of balanced; why were there no MPs to protect ANC from political misuse and its staff from being pushed around. Come on USA, be a people of wisdom, justice and backbone, instead of poli-hacks, money and bullets.
This is what good "the deep state" actually does. "Deep state" is the bad rap, a conspiracy theory, that the TrumpMAGAProject 2025 extremists are trying to pin on civil servants. What they actually do should reverberate.
Another brilliant Essay thanks Heather, I had no idea that money laundering was such a big business in the US. Good on the Biden administration for closing these loopholes. I just pray that they will be able to be enforced to weed out illegal activities being run by these multinational crime syndicates. I wonder how the Republican Party will react...
Does anyone know if there is a problem with Heather's FB account? It has disappeared from my FB timeline, and searching only brings up a fake HCR account and a HCR book club account. 😢
Thanks for the update - I'll check for her. And I noticed the book club flood and stopped following. I didn't have a problem with anything they posted, but yeah, they were overwhelming my feed.
proponents of 'smaller' government resent regulatory agencies and civil servants like FinCEN - wonder why?
I have met the government, and it is us.
Voters who call for 'smaller government' want you and me out of it.
They get nothing, and get pushed out too, but why even try to explain the obvious . . .
Trump is the poster-child for laundering Russians money here in the U.S., and abroad. THANK-YOU JOE BIDEN, KAMALA HARRIS AND THE DEMOCRATS!!!

is there any penalty to those professionals who don’t abide by these new regulations?
Just shameful. “Have you no decency man”
Is this same committee looking at China buying up our farmland?
Why is it taking so long for the FinCEN rules to be implemented? December 2025 and January 2026? Thanks for clarifying...

Stay away from the book club - it overrides everything else.
Her account popped back on my page.

Mine as well.
