In 1980, I ran for Congress for the 3rd district of Louisiana. There four candidates in the race...2 Democrats & 2 Republicans. I was one of the Democrats. The other Democrat, Billy Tauzin won!

He later became a Republican and the architect of the no-negotiation Medicare drug law.

When he retired, he was made CEO of PHARMA for a salary in the millions.

I would never have done anything like that! Elections have consequences.

I worked at the VA Medical Center for 28 years & was always puzzled & frustrated by the fact that the VHA was able to negotiate drug prices for veterans but Medicare could not negotiate for seniors.

Just imagine how much better the economy would be, if all those student loans Biden could have gotten forgiven?

Only the beginning..... Hopefully, if Kamala gets in, more of the same will follow. Years ago Bernie Sanders was trying to get Medicare to be able to negotiate drug prices with PHARMA. Now, it's happening. Why is it that there are tuition free colleges in Europe? I know of people who attended med school in Europe solely bc of affordability.
