This is frightening. And it IS what happened in Nazi Germany. People so afraid even before they need to be, that they forget what we are about, forget democracy, are willing to trade it off for a partisan agenda that they THINK is going to happen. They know they have nothing to lose in this democracy if the forces for democracy win, but they WILL lose if Trump wins and they have not shown loyalty. Sununu outed himself. Shame on him.. and he is blatant about it!. Disgusting.
Over 60 years ago, I had a professor who said "I'm a Democrat because the Democratic Part cares about people, while the Republican Party cares only about material things."
An important “heads up” to those who believe that if they “tow the line” with MAGA/Trump, they will be “safe. They have NO guarantees! Especially now considering Trump’s cognitive state, anything could set him off and result in him seeing a once loyal follower into an enemy who must be destroyed. The only safe path is to deny Trump from having the power to destroy people.
Is it possible that the Sununus of the world (with others afraid to speak out against Trump), vocally support Trump, but in the security of the voting booth vote for Biden? Or, have that many Republicans so totally lost their moral center?
