It isn't all fake, neither here nor in Russia. The problem is when people get too invested in news sources that support a particular point of view or prejudice, and filter out any information that disagrees with their predetermined understanding of reality.

My solution is to try to find news sources from opposing perspectives (liberal vs. conservative, USA vs. Russia), and then try to figure out what they're trying to cover up or avoid talking about.

Not exactly, but in politics it seems that everybody has something to hide.

I'm assuming that most if not all news media outlets gave entrenched editorial biases that lead them to cover up and/or distort certain topics.

That gets back to the question, Whose fake news do you believe? Is the Russian propaganda organization any better or worse than the American propaganda organization?
