So you have decided that no one should watch this program? I don't get it. That is backward. This is what we NEED to watch: a program known for not glossing over things and calling out thing that need to be exposed to light. It's not Fox. It's CBS. What actually is your motivation here?

Annie, It’s the act of valuing the words of someone who has encouraged physical harm to elected leaders. Obviously it’s not within my control, but yes it is morally wrong to want to elevate the words of anyone who has spoken so destructively and harmfully. How do we not understand this after watching tffg succeed? I have clarified my reasoning repeatedly.
Christy, why do you think this is about elevating MTG's words? A lot of people have gone on Sixty Minutes certain that they are going to walk out smug, but instead walked with mud on their face. How is not watching going to change anything? MTG has wormed her way into a position of potential influence. A major investigative news entity is going to examine how that happened. In what way is that "elevating" anything? I want to know how this crackpot works. This comes in somewhere in the "Know your enemy" rubric. And I suspect that Ms. Greene is not going to come out looking great. Why don't we wait and see what the program says? Why are you so dead set on arguing this to death? I am serious: I really want to know. Because your "reasoning" simply doesn't make sense.
Suz-an, you just captured the essence of free speech and its relation to democracy. Putting our fingers in our ears to avoid hearing what we disagree with won't work. Thank you for speaking up. As for Glenn Greenwald, I respect what he has accomplished but have some issues with his style. A red flag goes up for me whenever I see someone claim "captive to no dogma or faction". That suggests a peculiar kind of blindness to one's own assumptions- and we all have them. I think Greenwald is too caught up in his own self-image, and it shows.
It would be helpful if we understood their motives. Are they after ratings or are they on board the train to fascism? Perhaps that is the same thing 🤷🏻♀️?

DO you suppose that if half their viewing audience chooses not to watch this segment it would say something?

Ah, more insinuation. I think I'll watch the program and decide for myself. Then we can come back and discuss it.
No thank you
:-( very sad to read this, Christy.
