It would be interesting to count how many of the Republican Senators have ties to Russian oligarchs. McConnell is number one and has sold Kentucky to the Russians. I thought many it was DT who had the goods on the Senators but this is making me think it is the Russians that are pulling their strings.
If you look at who is funding directly and indirectly you the GOP caucus at federal and often state level you will find that the "Koch political network" of American Billionaires is controlling election and re-election campaigns partly by giving money to campaigns but mostly by money laundered through NGO filters. They are no doubt in cahoots with their Russian and other similar forces in Russia and elsewhere. The GOP is just one of the tools at their disposal to deprive the people of any say in their affairs. The GOP no longer exists as an independant party. Try reading Nancy Maclean's book "Democracy in Chains"!
