I pray that the generals remember—they already swore an oath. To the constitution of the United States. As to the coming shutdown, the MAGA were never negotiating in good faith, and they never will.
I pray that Hegseth is not allowed to torture the generals. What if he switches everyone to command somewhere else? I know that in Project 2025 there is discussion about moving leaders around a lot. It sounds like social emotional destabilization.
I am worried for this country. I am worried for people in the military, and I am worried for us.
I hadn't heard of "social emotional destabalization." Who thinks it's a good idea to pull the rug out from under personnel in charge of keeping the country safe, who have control of serious weapons, whose families will be forced to relocate more frequently than usual and, most of all, use up the obscene military budget to make those moves? I was kidding myself when I thought that no one could be more dangerous to the republic than Mitch McConnell. Russell Vought makes Mitch seem like a moderate by comparison.
Mitch gave us trump. Russ is the brains behind this ongoing disaster. Steve Miller is the Nazi in charge. Is it unfair to call SM a Nazi? Because he looks and acts like Joseph Goebbels.
Miller had every advantage imaginable growing up, and yet this is what he did with it. I'm so sorry for his parents and his family. I imagine having Musk run off with his wife didn't help matters.
Jones has no conscience. Never will. Love his story that he thought the women who saw him with the 'toothbrush' mustache were "going to throw there panties at me." Only the ones they had crapped in Jones.
Miller reinforces his nazi- like views every time he opens his mouth. Can you imagine what it must be like to live in his house? Wonder how his house is decorated?
If you look closely, Satan Miller looks like somebody's big toe....
What a harrowing newsletter! Firing hundreds of thousands of federal employees? Taking away people's affordable healthcare coverage? Bombing fishing boats in Venezuela? Sending the military to blue city's whose crime rate has decreased? Can it get worse? It continually does....
I am so curious about this meeting today with the generals. It feels like there's something maniacal behind it. Let's see....
It IS MANIACAL! Did you hear Hegseth?(I woke to his maniacal rant.) Now hoping Trump will talk himself into impeachment, if he hasn’t already done so. The Republicans are killing this country as fast as Putin hoped (or faster). Racism and sexism will kill US—something racists/misogynists don’t seem to understand. If they do, they’re weaponizing the disease.
Sorry but hanging your hopes on impeachment when the Democrats are not in the majority is inadvisable. Not saying he hasn't earned it but it ain't gonna happen.
Ha Ha! Great new name (RP) for the leader of the BrownShirts attacking our cities! For me he is the Wormtongue whispering ‘little nothings’ in Donny’s ear, powered by the palantir. We do need to have transparency into who is in charge, who actually writes the nonsense late at night and why we suddenly decided the TS is the same as White House Letterhead.
The vast waste of energy and mental space! Sucking the life out of our great country—and now the military will need to decide what their oath means! And who tells JD to take the fitness test and no beard!
Barbara, I have this "thing" about feet. I find many of them sorta...repulsive, in a way. This goes back to my years of drawing blood, and waaaay back then, perhaps a half dozen times in my career, I was forced to draw blood out of people's feet. (I doubt they do it anymore, but trust me, it was NEVER "nice" feet. I've seen a lot of funky feet over the years. Also, working in the medical lab, I've unfortunately seen my share of dismembered feet and toes-- never removed for "good" reasons. When I had to go through the grossing area--a real term, although often it was "gross"--I learned to kind of blur my vision.)
I generally don't look at feet very much, akin to trying not to stare at a huge pimple on someones nose. I've got that Miller-toe face in my brain. I think I'd rather think of him as a polyp.
😂After someone said that MTG looks like a baked potato, I have NEVER been able to unsee that! Now a toe for Miller....somebody should make an AI generated video with him as a toe.
I was wide awake @ 0415 today so, had the 'pleasure of hearing Hogsbreath & T spout their stupidness. We need manly men in the military he said. What? "No dresses" no DEI offices. On & On. T and his sing- song tone, rambling speech made me all asleep. How those officers sat there listening to that punk Hogsbreath tell the experts how to run the military is beyond me. Hope they all get back to their bases before the government shutdown closes the airports.
About the shut down over medical health care, it sounded like Trump knew nothing about the health care issue. I wonder if his minions are totally keeping him in the dark as I heard he knew nothing about Heg's meeting with all the military officers. Also, someone had to have created that video really fast because I don't belief that Trump is sharp enough to even be in his present position as President of the USA. I think his mental condition is in bad shape with what comes out of his mouth. He is Project 2025 people's patsy! That is my feeling.
Actually we have strong verbal confirmation for RP Miller is a strong supporter of Eugenics and racial purity. This is the foundation for the killing machines, and for the extreme use of ICE to remove non-threatening people, rather than the dealers and drugs lords they promised.
Carol, your theory depends on the notion that Donald thinks about people who aren't billionaires. He doesn't.
He sees only dollars. If you have dollars, he sees you; if you don't have dollars, he doesn't see you. If he doesn't see you, he doesn't care about you, which means he doesn't care whether you live or die.
He used to see non-billionaires as votes. Now that he's in office, he has no intention of leaving it. So votes no longer matter. He doesn't see votes or the people who have them.
People, myself included, constantly give Donald credit he doesn't deserve. Donald doesn't have a strategy; he doesn't think about anything. He just does whatever comes into his feeble mind without thinking about the consequences. He is one big, fat, orange impulse.
It's fascinating. The rich build their fortunes on products or services sold or provided to the hoi polloi. Once rich they maintain their fortunes through investments. But those investments are based on products or services sold or provided to the hoi polloi. And so on. If they kill off the consumer class then eventually their fortunes collapse, as does the infrastructure on which they rely to move about the world. Shorter: it's insane.
MisTBlu, and Hegseth is a little man emotionally and is dangerous because he wants enormous power he does not deserve. I think Republicans in general who hold office all over the country are dangerous because they have ditched any principles they may have once had in favor of doing harm to anyone who is not rich, white, pseudo-christian, straight, and male. That is a minority of people in this country, so Repubs have a lot of targets and are working hard to go after all of them bit by bit unless We the People find ways to stop them!
Many of the Epstein ladies have 'told all'. At least a dozen have come out describing the hell they endured. Several have testified in court. One young woman has described being raped by 47 as a 13 yo virgin.
The ones who haven't come out are undoubtably afraid of being ignored like the ones who have spoken up or branded as 'sluts' or 'prostitutes' (at 13 yo?!!) as MAGA has done.
No one cares. The media has long ignored them. Some have gotten financial settlements but the statute of limitations has long run out.
I have seen a meme that pretty much describes the situation.
"If we believed the girls he raped we wouldn't need to release the files".
Just previous to the republican primaries in 2015 scump was scheduled to appear in court at the SDNY for rape by Epstein and scump of a 13 year old girl. The girl backed out of the proceeding the day before under suspicious circumstances. For some reason although the story was reported in the NYT , the news got little attention. People who support willful ignorance do not read the NYT and many more did not expect scump to get any traction or support anyway which has been the problem all along.
It's not just Russell Vought. It's the entire Heritage Foundation and America First Foundation, and all the neofascist tech billionaires who are writing Trump's executive orders behind the scenes.
And remember, most Republicans in Congress are MAGA too (the other ones were expelled these last four years; anyone who didn't accept to blatantly lie about the insurrection was thrown out).
This is not the work of just a few bad apples. As Kamala Harris recently said, this has been DECADES in the making.
If a foreign entity were doing to the US government what tRump and the latter-day rethugs are, it would be denounced as an act of war. I would propose since it comes from within we start calling it what it is - an gigantic act of treason.
The question to ask is this. Who, or what, wants us weak? Russia? China? The way this takeover has been proceeding doesn’t seem to me to be the work of rich billionaires. They are smarter than that and would not want our military to be destabilized. Nor would they want businesses in general to be so crippled. Nor does it seem to be the work of evangelicals, much as they might want to enact the kind of society depicted in “The Handmaid’s Tale”. I am coming to believe that both these scenarios are smokescreens. Project 2025 is intended as both a distraction and an inducement for support from Trump’s base but it is not the main story. This is a plot not to make the country more conservative but to fatally weaken it so that it is no longer the powerful and influential force it once was.
The background section in this Wikipedia article is particularly good.
Confounding me is the why of this assault on us. The people involved who have maybe yes taken over from a "project" that in general has been ongoing with different visions or purposes in mind since maybe Nixon, certainly Reagan, and maybe surreptitiously without a unifying vision other than gaining power, wealth for the few or with re religion (Christianity that is in fact fake as it has been in history as well)... or USING religion. So why destroy the very ground that they- these MAGA's- stand on? And then tere is the question or the observation rather that we are so vulnerable.. because .we are divided is at least one answer. And that is the answer for us now-togetherness.
These people could care less about the people they hurt and whose lives they make unbearable. We are being “governed “ by idiots who some desire is to please their orange master. Why oh why did people vote for this debacle??? Why?
Russell Vought and Co. will destroy America if we let them. Oddly, they lifted much of the tactics and playbook from the radical left of the 1960s/70s, which is why it sounds so familiar. I came of age in Berkeley, CA, at the time, and I remember wondering whether the right or the left was more dangerous. At this point in America, the right is clearly better funded, better organized, and more dangerous. But they are not invincible. There is nothing in their playbook that I admire or respect any more than I admired the violence and extremism of the left when I was growing up. We have to keep standing up. We have to win this one.
MisTBlu. Money is no problem for all the damn rethuglicans, they have been lining their pockets on tax payers money without any remorse, total lack of integrity and oath of office.
It is not a good idea. I am not saying this will happen, but it was discussed for the Intel community leadership, and as a career teacher, I can see how that would be very destabilizing, and that would be the point. This is an administration that hates elites unless they are bad people and getting away with it.
The Democrat Governors, AGs, Secretaries of States and many of the state legislatures are trying to save all of us from these assholes. You are right to be worried Linda. The good people of Illinois and Oregon need to fight back against ICE and the National Guard by taking and posting video of their brutality.
Trump has no idea what is going on and yet the Republicans at ALL levels of government are terrified of him.
Remember Trump Always Chickens Out. The shutdown will likely take several weeks, but he will chicken out. In the meantime, we need to denigrate every Republican continuously for doing nothing. They don't deserve ANY respect because they only represent the interests of Trump and the oligarchs.
I think most of them didn't listen when they were advised to keep the devil at bay. I've known possessed people in my life. Did a lot of praying when near them.
All of the Republican SC justices were raised Catholic. They don't seem to particularly follow the words of Jesus in how they live their lives and rule from the bench.
GJ, I agree with every word of your comment, except one. I'm being pedantic, but I encourage you to call officials who are members of the Democratic Party by their correct political affiliation: "Democratic."
Republicans have used "Democrat" as a pejorative since 1940.
One final potshot: Turnabout is fair play. If the GOP wants to denigrate their opponents by calling them the "Democrat Party," we should call the GOP what they are, the Nazi Party.
Great comment, GJ, but please use the correct term. They are Democratic Governors, AGs…. Using the disparaging Karl Rove-invented term Democrat Governors amplifies the pejorative language of the far right. We need to stop helping them by using their language.
I know it bothers some people when I put it that way.
What bothers me is when people put an extra "ta" in preventive. We use so many abbreviations in our writing, it seems odd to add an extra syllable for no reason.
Suit yourself GE. I’m in total agreement about “preventive”, and also “resiliency” when the word is resilience.
I don’t factor in convenience though when it comes to the battle for democracy. I make it a practice to refuse to help them spread their undemocratic message by refusing to use their language, especially when that language was chosen as an insult. Just my little rebellion.
I too am pessimistic. Three plus years of this wholesale dismemberment of the government and society. Economic disaster is waiting. And all for naught.
And hopefully the Phoenix will rise from the ashes Bill and the Republican Party will give way to a new Conservative Party--like the Republican Party is supposed to be about.
What good can possibly come from forcing 800 military brass to come to Washington? And why is he bringing them in?
A media opportunity for Hegseth, and now Trump also? Or, just because he can. Or perhaps something more nefarious is afoot. Any way we look at it it's awful and awfully scary.
I don’t think Hegseth came up with this idea on his own and Trump wasn’t aware either. So who is behind this? Maybe Vought and/ or Miller, two truly insane individuals and…dare I say it? Nazis.
recipe for disaster at the worst. Petey wants to make a video with all the Generals clapping...then will have it AI edited so that it looks like the Generals approve of some stupid thing that he or Trump will say.
Hegseth has to be a perfect target for the professional military’s scorn. Pretty boy partier, former weekend Fox host (was he too unpredictable to put on during the week?) veteran with two years’ service. He’s definitely a moral authority.
In the NYT there is a report on the possible t presidential library . His son Eric and Steve Wickoff trying too woo colleges and landowners for a land donation. Eric was last I heard in Japan doing sumu wrestling. They just must all be jetting here and there and what is the role of Pete’s wife in all of this military meeting? She seems to run the show. All of these players who are not in the playbook.
It's not much, and it's not directed at the top bad guys like the No Kings protests, but I see the occasional, inspiring act of rebellion aimed at their fawning supporters.
I saw this lovely display in the parking lot of a big box store right after the election: a ratty old Dodge truck (diesel of course, "roll coal, baby!") sporting a pair of massive tRump flags in the bed and parked at an angle across two handicap parking spaces while not displaying a handicap plate or tag, but what really caught my eye was the fact that someone had zip-tied shopping carts to all its door handles and front and rear bumpers! Of course someone driving a pickup armed with tRump flags was likely carrying a knife (and probably worse things! - I find that people like this are often scared little babies) but it was a sight to behold! :)
And everyone thought it was wrong to keep the twice elected fool out of the WH this time. My gawd, how he even got on the ballot remains a mystery to me.
Realistic. It is not good to live under fascists. My mom did as a child in Germany, and my my great uncle's first family lived in the DDR and were separated from him because he managed to get to the West.
“When they wake up in the morning, we want them to not want to go to work, because they are increasingly viewed as the villains. We want their funding to be shut down.… We want to put them in trauma.”
No, THIS guy needs to get a grip - no one in their right mind thinks up this crap….let alone says it out loud. But it is a perfect example of the entire felon administration.
Commenter BK has continually expressed his wish for 'a military coup by the good generals' in whom he's put his faith. This is no time for defeatism and day dreams.
I agree lin. We need to keep doing what we are doing. Wishing for this or that to happen will not get us anywhere. I call it white knight thinking.
There is a lot of defeatism in comments in this forum. I wonder why. I recommend people listen to people like Reich, Tim Miller and Dr. Richardson for their voews on the tide is starting to turn.
It's not all for naught. It's all for filling DJT's infinite need for adoration.....and how too many dishonorable people are using that infinite need to fill their own pockets and egos...
Bill Katz, I had a comment on 9/27/2025 on my post from Noregrebals. I found that you had a post from this same ??? person?? previously when I did a search. It called me out on my comment... I believe that it did not represent Heather Cox Richardson so I reported this ???person!
It was the name of the so called person that commented on my comment. I found on one of your posts that he had commented a few years ago on your post that is why I contacted you. I believe that you sent him back a slamming message and moved on. I never heard of him and since I am a woman...I was concerned. My daughter said it was probably a Russian Bot! And it probably was. I reported it on Substack.
I was just telling you that I found that this Noregrebals had made a similar comment on one of your comments in 2024 or 2023 and you shut that person down...but I reported them. No question! Sorry to have bothered you!
You haven’t bothered me I just don’t know what you mean is the name Noregrebal? I never head of the word and I would like to see what you are speaking of. And I just searched the word and there is no such person on substack. I don’t understand what you are saying . Tell me in a different way.
Social emotional destabilization is exactly what they promised and are well on the way to finishing, if there is a finish…. It’s what destruction of the administrative state will accomplish. Deliberately and with malice
how they square all this destruction and cruelty with the teachings of Jesus is mind-blowing. They want the control part of religion and none of the kindness.
The problem, JJ, is that we're facing scarifyingly more numerous and complicated issues than we seem to grasp from the comments above to this point in time. I haven't seen Mike Nellis ("Endless Urgency" Substack) mentioned here, yet, but when he called for a Dem "plan' with 400 steps just a couple of days ago (!!) he took my breath away!
There are SO many things upside down because of Trump's lies, inadequacies, moral deficiencies, and multifaceted attacks on our democracy, the truth facing us all is that the Democratic strategies being followed so far are picayune in comparison, inadequate on their face. E.g., focusing on health care IS vital and so is attention to "next elections", but the challenges facing us are way bigger, more comprehensive and complex, and many, many interlinked. Each day this remains unaddressed in any "plan" brings us loser to the many-faceted debacle facing us.
I call them Revelationists. They go from the vengeful Old Testament, dip into the New to pull quotes that conform to their hard right political values then rest in the promise of Revelations where the Apocalypse will take them "heaven" and leave the heathens to burn in "hell." While they await the Rapture, they can inflict hellish suffering right here on Terra Firma.
The solution to worry is action. Protesting, calling politicians, protesting, writing politicians, writing letters to the editor, protesting. No Kings.2 on Saturday, October 18. Find one near you. Can't find one? Create your own with friends. Remember to vote in local elections in November--especially School Board elections. We can have real input into democracy in our communities by voting for local issues and candidates!
Linda, as I mentioned I am also worried that they have spent so much time and money in destabilization, that it will take 100 years to correct even if we started today and it doesn't look like that will happen. And that's just to correct the rewritten history not including actually making new headway. These EVIL people are just plain depressing.
Montana, we need to think ourselves beyond this administration and the destruction of our society and country to how we want it to be so that it will be better able to stand up to fascists. Everyone has to have accountability.
Linda, I am hoping these generals and admirals have been chatting among themselves to plan for some such disgraceful behavior from the ignoramuses: Trump and Hegseth and their toddler pool. In the military, it seems people in command must be prepared to deal with the ignorance of those who always seem to think they know best when they usually don't.
Me too Linda. Deeply worried and afraid. When I think about it the meeting of our highest ranking military officers in the world all together in one place followed quickly by a major government shut down almost sounds contrived, yes contrived and then publicized! Our Republic is at great risk. I really can not understand how with blatant Fascism occurring daily how a blind eye can be turned. Makes me want to Puke.
Linda, your concern is real and deeply justified. When leadership is destabilized for political ends, it erodes trust and undermines the very fabric of security that people depend on. These choices ripple outward, affecting not just the military but families, communities, and the sense of stability we all need.
Naming this matters. Even in the face of disruption, we can keep pressing for steadiness, integrity, and leadership rooted in responsibility to the whole. That is how we protect both those who serve and the broader community, ensuring that care and accountability remain stronger than chaos.
Christy, you are so right. I need to be thanking my Blue State Governor more often. Pritzker is making Illinois safer than many surrounding states. I am in a sanctuary city where we value human rights. That is good.
October 18 NO KINGS. We keep fighting back in in the midst of all the worry. Everyday Americans are pushing back in the streets. I wish the media would show more of this. We are winning elections. The lower courts are pushing back. We have reasons to hope and keep going.
Barbara I am holding a NO KINGS RALLY in Germany on the 18th. We are the media. Heather Cox Richardson has over 1.7 million subscribers, the NYT has 11.88 million total subscribers. If you multiply all of the Substacks you follow the news is getting out to people like us who read Substacks. We have to find other ways to get the message out there. Fund organizations who sponsor billboards like The Lincoln Project, or Indivisible.
This is all good. As we worry (and we have every right to) we can keep pushing people forward in fighting back. I respect the work Indivisibles has been doing for years. Thir local chapter in my City is excellent.
My gut feel (and hope) is that the NO KINGS day will exceed the 5 million we had the last time.
I think we should be sharing a list of things we do to destress. Last night my family and I watched a comedy together. So, doing things together with family and friends that you enjoy. Plan these in to keep you going. We really need the supportive people.
Linda, that's why I watch Stephen Colbert and listen to "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me." They help with their humor to put things a bit more into perspective so I can continue.
Linda, sounds like he's trying to run the military like a business with multiple storefronts. Moving people around to keep them from trying to organize what may be good for the 'company'. The term- social emotional destabilization says it all!
Linda, in ancient times conquering states moved people around a lot so that no one could fight against the conquest. People deported and then other people imported. This happened to the Jews, but they were not the only ones. I am worried too.
Yes. It is to destabilize them. I read in the Daily Koz today that Trump went on a rant, and Hegseth and he are telling the military that they should spend more time at home, and think of themselves as at war, and they should train the military on cities in the US. Is this to appeal to the rural voters? It certainly has a racist tone to it. My city of Chicago does not want there here.
I was visiting my mom this morning and the contractor called to tell me something and mentioned that one of his men had a close call with ICE yesterday. It is getting harder and harder each day for him to keep his people employed because they are afraid to drive around.
Linda, I am sure people are afraid to be out. We live in a diverse neighborhood here in Salem, but so far no ICE that I know of. It is easier for them to pick on certain jobs and of course, the Rat Court has said they can racially profile. It is racist, but I am not sure at this point, besides hard core MAGAs who this is appealing too. I had a round this week with someone who was ranting about "illegals" and how much they cost us and how teenagers cannot find jobs. I listed some of the jobs the undocumented do and said most white Americans would not even last a day. I haven't heard from her since.
The city of Portland does not want them here either and there have been lots of pleas not to take the bait as well as a law suit. I can't imagine many members of Oregon National Guard are happy about this either.
Some rural voters are waking up as they see their farms go under, their local health care disappear as well as their work force.
I think one day isn’t and hasn’t been enough. I think full blown shut downs might at this point work better. That would require a shadow infrastructure that would have monies for folks . It would have to be a creative tour de force. I hope people are working on that option. If you read the labor history lots of strikes but also lots of retaliation s like the Ludlow Massacre. So if it was planned great but Ivsupport the day I am just not sure it is enough.
No military officer I have ever heard of takes their sworn oath to the Constitution lightly, with the higher the rank, the greater the seriousness and sense of responsibility to those below them and to country itself.
When Kegsbreath starts with his pep talks and “warrior” ethos jingoism, the eye-rolls will be too numerous to be counted. The most insulting thing you could do to these generals is to strut and preen like a peacock in front of them to the beat of the Village People’s “He’s a Macho, Macho, Macho Man.” The performance won’t pass a giggle test, let alone a piss test, much less make them all collapse into puddles of Pete-goo.
I think we underestimate the contempt serious, professional people have for this administration of klusterphluck klowns balancing banana crème pies on top of their flamethrowers.
Let’s indeed hope the top brass do begin to show some backbone. Thus far, the gestapo tactics we’ve seen in the cities have elicited no response. This call to the trough so far has shown nothing but kneejerk compliance. And the emasculating of the top brass is the sole purpose for the meeting.
Gary, if they just show some backbone, as you said, they'll lose their job. They, at one point, need to show a backbone and act all the way. There's nothing "some" with this regime.
Gary, backbone isn't always displayed as a frontal assault. The true measure of backbone is frequently found in sabotage.
One of my favorite classic TV shows was Hogan's Heroes. Every episode showed a group of "model prisoners" giving the outward appearance of cooperation while secretly sabotaging the next German operation. Many of the situations were absurd and we were meant to laugh, but the principle is valid.
I would be satisfied if the generals give the appearance of cooperating with Kegsbreath and Donald, while sabotaging their directives. If they do it well, we might never know about it.
I had to look up "soldier ethos". There are a number of categories that define soldier ethos that explain the fundamental beliefs, values and character traits that define a soldiers commitment and behavior. One of the core values described in the definition I looked up was Selfless Service: putting the needs of the nation first. Another,Integrity and honor: Acting with moral courage, doing the right thing even when difficult or risky. There are other values described but the last I'll mention is Loyalty: Unwavering commitment to one's leaders, the values of the organization. This last one is the one that " Kegsbreath" seems most likely to key on. I put a lot of stock in what Heather Cox Richardson writes. so, I'm hoping that her assessment of the rift that seems to exist in the Pentagon between educated and trained military professionals and Pete dumbshit will mean that our Generals will look upon this meeting with the same disdain that the world did of trump's UN speech. My trust in the people running this country with integrity has been severely damaged by, first, Mitch McConnell then the entire republican party and last but not least six members of the Supreme Court. So, I am hoping and praying that the coup attempt I am afraid is afoot backfires with the Generals taking charge and the government shut down actually destroys djt and his thugs, but I'm not holding my breath. God help us all!
You know of course that it's not loyalty tfg demands; It's 'fealty'. There's a difference. *Always conflating words and meanings is 60 percent of their 'stock in trade.'
It’s what he once demanded from Jim Comey, who deftly reminded the “fucking moron” that the FBI Director takes the same oath of loyalty to the Constitution as everyone else. So years later, Donnie appoints one of his Barbies to go after him on trumped-up charges one day before the 5-year statute of limitations expires.
Apparently, that same Barbie yesterday first went to the wrong courtroom to file her grand jury indictment, and then when she finally found the right room and judge, handed him two signed grand jury decisions, one refusing to indict, the other indicting on a single charge. The judge told her he’d never heard of such a thing, and wanted to know which was the ‘real’ one. She replied she didn’t know how the second one got there.
With Trump, it’s always the “best people.” Ironically, the grotesque incompetence of his voidoids and wormtongues may yet turn out to be the one saving grace of this awful kakistocracy.
She claimed not to know about the second one until the judge told her that it bore her signature. What was most striking about this matter was that she appeared alone in court, without the assistance of any experienced prosecutors from her office, and that might be a whole other story.
We've seen a similar thing with Trump's nominee for the US attorney's office in Washington, Jeanine Pirro, failing three times to secure grand jury indictments.
And let's not forget Deputy AG Todd Blanche taking the unprecedented step of meeting with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell on the same day that attorneys from his office were motioning a court to deny her appeal against her conviction.
It's absolute chaos at the DoJ. They've already failed to secure a terrorism charge against Luigi Mangione and now his lawyers are trying to get the death penalty off the table because of prejudicial comments from AG Pam Bondi and Trump himself.
And with the continued threat of mass firings, the morale at the DOJ is really low. I read that there used to be 32 lawyers doing anti-corruption work: that team is down to TWO lawyers now. There will likely be more firings, but there will also be more resignations by the people who will refuse to bend the knee to Fluffer Bondi.
MAGA: Morons or Monkeys Are Governing America. The incompetence is staggering. Only a dysfunctional democracy could saddle us with such stupidity. Appoint monkeys, and this is what you get—though real monkeys might have made less of a mess.
Harvey, I'd stick with "morons." In the past, "monkeys" has been used as a racial slur. Not to mention that monkeys have displayed a fairly high level of intelligence. The same cannot be said for the Trump regime.
Thanks so much Ed, ICTT, Dale, RJ Netto, GJ, and others in helping me illustrate some points. "Loyalty" allows limits; "Fealty" does not. Fealty is all encompassing, even opening a vein in service. "Fealty" is fanatical and extremist without limits. Conflating words and meanings - Yes, without any doubt, those are prime tools in their arsenal vs democracy, and spot on. Percentage ? I'd say > 'greater than' my 60 percent as given. Here's an illustrative 'kicker' to consider: I feel that figure illustrates and reveals me as a "conservative democrat." Hence, is this not exemplary of gaga leadership to spout 3/4ths as spot on, yet 1/4 sketchy logic ? Go back and count my assertions.... lol.
'Fealty' is certainly more accurate. Two more examples. A video that shows an ICE officer instructing other masked ICE staff that Democrat Representative LaMonica McIver was to be arrested at the direction of Todd Blanche, deputy AG, a former personal lawyer of Donald Trump.
Yesterday, it emerged that government departments had been sending formal messages to staff in advance of the shutdown blaming the Democrats and the 'Radical Left' in what appears to be a clear breach of the Hatch Act.
I hope that a judge allows the case to go on. Comey is no saint. His antics with Hillary's email the days before the 2016 election may have put Trump in office.
If the case continues, much will come out in discovery and Trump will be forced to testify. Obviously, he hasn't thought this through.
Since we’re not citizens of the Vatican, the issue of sainthood isn’t up for discussion. Many elements played a role in the election of 2016. I doubt you can triumphantly claim that only one was important.
Of course not. Hillary made many mistakes, especially in OH, PA, WI and MI. She took the union vote for granted. We could spend a long time unraveling 2016, but my point was that Comey hurt Hillary and he did it with malice and forethought.
Go back and count my assertions.... lol.
The incompetence is abundant. Further, their hatred of the bureaucracy is not based on fact but fantasy. But perhaps it is the extremes meanness, the taking pleasure in the harming of others, that is most disturbing and, in the end, what turns out to be most harmful to the nation.
It would please me if, in the end, all of the trump cronies get to live at the worst of the detention facilities. For the rest of their miserable lives.
The maggots are thinking that they will be able to waltz in on October 1 and get a government job. As long as the government is shut down, that won't happen. But if a maggot gets into a government job, Holy Hell!

Loyalty is choosing a nation, principle or personage above all others, and acting in support or defense of the object of one's loyalty. It is usually a noble attribute.
Fealty is similar, but unlike loyalty, it's personal and involves sacrificing one's own dignity or self-respect in deference to the personage. It is an ignoble attribute.

I think it’s different. Loyalty originates with the person. It is freely given, without coercion. Fealty originates outside the person. It is obedience.
The only senior member of the military who was loyal to him (until his his own neck was the line), lieutenant general Michael Flynn, needed a presidential pardon to escape FBI charges of perjury.
Unfortunately Russell, I doubt that is true. The meeting of the 800 may turn out to be a blood bath. But, these military leaders are almost all very clever. They would all have met with their senior staff and gone over the unlikely scenarios that may occur at Hogsbreath's meeting.
I suspect that most of them have an idea of what to expect from Hegseth and Trump.
Essentially, we're talking about two different visions of global security and international relations. The shorthand would be the difference between Yalta (the 1945 conference) and Helsinki (the 1975 Final Act). This first envisages the world split into different spheres of influence dominated by the (then) superpowers, the US and the Soviet Union. Putin's vision might be called Yalta 2.0. Indeed, when he addressed the UN General Assembly in 2015, Putin said:
“…The key decisions on the principles guiding the cooperation among states, as well as on the establishment of the United Nations, were made in our country, in Yalta, at the meeting of the anti-Hitler coalition leaders.”
The Helsinki Accords, on the other hand (the Soviets were one of the signatories) emphasised state sovereignty and human rights.
Trump appears to moving away from Helsinki and towards Yalta by his isolationism and repeated rejection of US obligations under the North Atlantic Treaty. The military leaders know this and mostly don't like it at all.
Flynn is still in the shadows and has a part to play with his Army of God. I remember when he was a good general.
Hope the officers at this meeting understand their oath is to the constitution and not to the president and his cult. I'm sure they're more than aware of the dangers that lay ahead.
I agree. However, I suspect Flynn might have a significant role to play in this 'warrior ethos' stuff that Hegseth is promulgating. Early on in the administration, he was appointed to the Board of Visitors at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Along with eight other members of the board, he was tasked with overseeing the morale, training, and education of the cadets at America’s most prestigious military academy. One can only wonder at what this will mean for the future of the US military.
"As to the coming shutdown" courts will remain OPEN as they remained OPEN during a 2018 shutdown.
The Oregon Department of Justice has confirmed that at a Portland, U.S. District Court, a 10 am hearing is set for Friday, October 3, 2025, to HALT the deployment of any "troops" using "full force" against anyone. The central at the Friday court hearing is grave "irreparable harm". The Oregon Attorney General has declared succinctly that "Oregon is our home not a military target".
One hopes. You should see the utter garbage that my retired cop cohort post on Facebook; right out of the 2020 BLM protests and nothing like what is happening today.
Literally today meaning Trump's unhinged throeat against "major cities" including Portland Oregon where "military" allegedly will fight a "new Type " of war specifically, a "war within major cities".
I expect the Oregon AG to use Wreck's speech to silent Generals as admissions of the Perp at Friday 10/4 hearing on the attack on Portland.
I will review Oregon Department of Justice info, Gov Kotek & the Court's Docket this 10/1 Wednesday morning.
But, Sheriff one of the many things I admire about Oregon AG, Dan Rayfield's first 100 days in Office is his posted DOJ Link to "Federal Litigation Cases" on the Oregon's website including the case against Hegseth/Trump, 3:25-cv-01756.
Quoting AG Rayfield directly this 10/1 morning, Oregon's TRO motion " ... seeks to block the 9/28of Secretary Hegseth memorandum which federalizes about 200 members of the Oregon National Guard".
Those generals who stand by that oath will be fired. The ones that stay will have to take a new oath: one of utter fealty to the Orange Goblin Baby Emperor, who will declare that the shutdown of the government “by the Democrats” is a national emergency, and that the Democrats will have to pay for that. The MAGA coup will be final, and things are gonna get really hairy from then on…. Be prepared.
Deepfakes, Shutdowns, and the Art of Not Governing
Tomorrow the U.S. government may slam its doors shut, not because of an asteroid, an alien invasion, or even a Sharknado, but because Republicans refuse to negotiate on healthcare. Yes, the same party that promised to “drain the swamp” is now flooding it with unpaid bills and expired insurance subsidies.
Trump, ever the showman, isn’t offering solutions. Instead, he’s moonlighting as a low-rent TikTok editor, posting racist deepfakes of Schumer and Jeffries. Forget healthcare premiums skyrocketing, the President wants you to laugh at a sombrero glued onto a Congressman’s head. It’s governance by meme, and not even a good meme.
Meanwhile, premiums are set to balloon, hundreds of thousands of federal workers are being shoved out the door, and the Pentagon is bracing for another “pep talk” from a guy who thinks soldier ethos is just a brand of energy drink.
It’s almost impressive. Republicans have managed to both not govern and still make governing worse. Everyday Americans get higher healthcare bills and fewer federal services, while billionaire donors keep their tax cuts polished like golf trophies.
The real deepfake isn’t the video, it’s the illusion that this crew is even trying to lead. Tomorrow the lights may go out, but the circus will keep running.
It's the "Deep Fake" presidency from "Trump 1.0" that cost a U.S. Capitol Police man a fatal heart attack and cost the rest of us over $ 20M in damages, plus a huge loss of respect on both sides of of the "Iron Curtain"!
If there was a way to deliver Heather’s letter to every American’s email daily I would advocate for it!
Too many Americans have fallen prey to the well orchestrated system of lies, hate and fear being perpetuated every minute of
every day by Stephen Miller and the Project 2025 writers who formed this massive network of propaganda designed for Social Media!
Heather is one of the main voices speaking out against their lies. I submit that all of Heather’s readers not only continue to comment on her letters, but share them widely on Social Media platforms.
Share her sources and quotes, become her Army for spreading her writings.
Let’s spread the truth more than the Republicans can spread their lies.
The Republicans declared this war, we need to fight it with words, facts and truth.
I would love for every American to read Heather's daily blog, but, unfortunately, millions of them have been so totally brainwashed that it will not matter.
I’m expecting Trump to demand a loyalty oath. He probably hopes that using peer pressure and taking advantage of crowd mentality, he can coerce military leaders to acquiesce to his demands. It didn’t work with Comey and I don’t think it will work today.
Lynell, I can’t follow anyone but Heather because I have to write postcards and can’t spend a lot of time online. Thank you for the compliment. Today has me engrossed in trying to write more for Mikie Sherrill while writing for Democratic Judge Retention in PA. The former had her complete info sent to her Republican opponent, including her parents and children, and the judge retention in PA is not a “big” thing for many voters.
I doubt that any of DonOld's cabinet is that clever. Narcissists and fools rarely think of the future. They are all too busy trying to please their dear leader.
Yes ... with two exceptions: Neither Stephen Miller nor Russell Vought give a flying fig what Donald thinks. They are running the show and Donald is just playing a role.
Miller is bent on turning the U.S. into an all-white, heterosexual nation.
Vought is dedicated to remaking the U.S. into a christofascist nation.
The two men share a preference for CIS heterosexuals, but Vought is more tolerant of people of color, as long as they, like women, know their place and stay in it. After all, someone must serve the white men.
He should be impeached. And every Republican should support that. It’s unfathomable how low this administration has sunk. Is there a complete lack of any moral center or integrity in EVERY Republican? It’s mind boggling.
No, Lynne. It's not "unfathomable." It's not "mind boggling."
This is a totally predictable script unrolling, as practiced in Putin's Russian, Orban's Hungary, Netanyahu's Israel and West Bank, Erdogan's Turkey, Mohammed bin Salman's Saudi Arabia, Bukele's El Salvador, Bolsonaro's Brazil, Duterte's Philippines, Sisi's Egypt, and elsewhere.
The fact that there is, as you say, "a complete lack of any moral center integrity in EVERY Republican" accompanies the authoritarian playbook, too, in all the places Donald and his Project 2025 team replicate.
I recall when they been nicknaming other leaders for their propensity to act like Trump — Bolsonaro became ‘the Brazilian Trump’ and Boris Johnson became ‘the British Trump’. Now one is in jail & the other is being investigated for … financial fraud while in office?
For those who haven't paid attention to US History until recently, the Republican Party has been scumbags since 1865. As Harry Truman noted 78 years ago, "The only 'good Republicans' are pushing up daisies." It's just in the last 50 years that their in-their-DNA shitheadedness has taken full flower.
Lincoln was a Republican, you remember, and they were acting quite different in those days. Since you have paid attention to US history and you follow Heather, you know that, right? What are you seeing as the change in 1865 specifically? I feel like I must have missed something.
Lincoln died April 15, 1865 - and then we got Johnson, The Lost Cause, Jim Crow and the KKK, Wounded Knee and indigenous boarding schools, isolationists and the Neo Nazi movement, the anti - Civil Rights movement and now. TCinLA is correct, 1865.
Repubs were once somewhat rational. That is no longer true. They have sold their souls to the oligarchy. We need to aim our boycotts, protests and votes in retrieving our government from the clutches of these greedy, selfish and soulless mega billionaires. NO MORE giveaways to the mega rich. ENOUGH.
Post Lincoln? You think they were the good guys? I disagree- perhaps compared to the Dems of that era but other than notable exceptions I think there weren’t many good guys of either party.
Well, Teddy Roosevelt was a Republican. So were many of the congressmen and senators who forced Nixon’s resignation. And John McCain. I’d say the party began to go,to Hell with Nixon’s “Southern strategy,” in 1968.
Teddy is one of the few Republican politicians that has ever stood up to the oligarchs. But now the oligarchs control many of the media outlets and sane wash everything Trump does and says.
The Republican Party wasn't poisoned until the passage of the Civil Rights Act; that's when Nixon and the party implemented the Southern Strategy, and the white supremacist pucks began moving from the Democratic Party. Before that, they were Dixiecrats because President Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican President, ended American slavery.
So what do you attribute the fact that Republicans dominated this last election cycle, are you like Hillary calling them deplorable or stupid or ignorant or what else you wanna call them and name-calling doesn't work by the way. Unless you're looking in the mirror.
And I don't know anybody with any brains that votes by party no matter what at defies totally totally defies logic but it's not a surprise coming from you
He's only responding not making the first accusation. They've called him idiot they've called him a fascist they've called him a Nazi. They called him a king. They called him an autocrat an oligarch They call him obese they called him the orange Chito they talk about his ankles. AND THEY TRIED THREE TIMES TO KILL HIM.
'They'? These were all different events, Rick, not some Deep State conspiracy. Trump richly deserves all the derogatory epithets applied to him. After all, he's not beyond name-calling himself, is he? In addition to this, he's now publicly directing the FBI and the DoJ to pursue his political opponents even though they have not committed crimes. He's making stupid declarations like calling Portland a war zone on the basis of a video he saw on Fox News of events in 2020. He's authorising the sinking of small Venezuelan vessels in international waters without any evidence that they present an immediate threat to the United States. Doesn't this sound like authoritarianism to you?
I gotta hand it to you Sender.. every day, you keep parroting the party line, even in the face of the evidence.. you just keep on goin with your stupid shit.. it’s fuckin amazing.
Awwww is it starting to turn cold in Canada? And worse Canada keeps buckling to Trump. That has got to make you mad . So I understand your frustrations.
Btw. I parrot my own line. NO ONE tells Americans what to think.
Now that's not fair. Dictator Don spends a lot of time on his complexion. He has multiple shades of orange - one shade for each category of occasion. And, he has a magnificent, gold trowel applicator. The man is an artist and you should respect that as we do.
Ricky lad, what you really need is a hefty dose of Tylenol followed by a nice snooze in your MedBed dreaming of those golden Ryder cup moments. Go MAGA Go !!
The polls are clear on this, Rick. The vast majority (around 90%) of Republicans voters are still supporting Trump even though he's a convicted criminal. A similar (but lower) proportion of Democrats voters are against him. He's also losing the support of independent voters.
You claim not know anyone who doesn't vote on party lines - what dream world are you living in? Almost every election since the 1990s has been decided on a small number of swing states where each of the main parties tend to focus their attention.
If the party lines statement you made was valid, then the Republicans working to increase their "count" would all be people you don't know. Somehow, I don't believe that... Go back to bed, Ricky. Keep your dreamworld in your bedroom.
Well, Leslie, you’re free to believe what you like to believe but unfortunately, when you only live in the big blue bubble, you don’t hear the other side of the story and you haven’t got a clue of what’s going on there. But I don’t know what you’re talking about as far as the count?
And here’s another nice one for you another thing that Trump is doing for America’s youth
Trumps drug task force seizes 1,000,000 pounds of cocaine denying narco traffickers $11 billion in profit.
The Democrats response : BUT ALL THOSE WHO HELPED SEIZE THE DRUGS WERE WEARING MASKS!! And they jumped out of unmarked helicopters.
Lmfao. Can’t produce a better analogy than that one!!
I have a “what about” friend. He never discounts maga activities, just goes to the “what about?” I’ve stopped encouraging him as the silo of ignorance just seems to be getting taller.
The trumpublicans do not have a moral center. They have Trump, Miller, Peter Theil aka Vance, Bondi,Noem, Patel, Homan, Robert Jr and the other hooligans to tell them what their next move is. They say jump and the party says “how high”.
The cast of characters mentioned in this piece are madmen and madwomen by normal standards. Let us hope our military is led by saner people.
I also hope that generals who are unwilling to work in a compromised position have their resumes ready. There are countries that would appreciate them.
When Heather says will be removing troops from Europe, I am wondering if my friends will be going who are stationed in Germany. It has got to be upsetting for everyone.
He should be in a leafy home somewhere, a nice bathrobe and slippers, with attendants to keep him supplied with crayons, plenty of shaded walkways and night nurses to make sure he gets properly escorted to the bathroom.
My spouse wants that for him, but only after a stroke that leaves him able to hear and understand, but unable to speak. And a TV that only gets MSNBC, on 24/7.
The stupefied silence of the Republican Party…choose your metaphor — ostriches, cowards, collaborators, bullies, victims of bullying themselves — and you’ll be right.
One day this cult of idiocy will be but a distant memory, yet as Liz Cheney once reminded them, “your dishonor will remain.” And that dishonor grows by the day. Even now, the leopard gnaws at their faces. Still, they do nothing except express their tender “concerns” — on alternate Thursdays, under a blue moon, when the cameras are off and they think no one is hearing.
You guys are the cowards you can’t even give me a list of five things. The president of Trump is done, which is negatively affected your life come on. I’ve asked you for a couple months now when I get nothing but hate what about autism’s or deflection.
And many of you talk about cowards you ran from Twitter the minute it be became action and became a balanced platform. You’re hiding out with all the other cowards and lemmings at blue sky.
That all you got? Yep. Can’t name five SPECIFIC Trump policies that are affecting your life negatively. Sad. Just name a couple. Nope. And you know why? They don’t exist.
Our representatives are paid handsomely by corporate donors (including but not exclusively AIPAC) to toe the corporate line. As voters se are stuck with only 2 parties only one of which is slightly better than the other. Republicans have done a much better job at messaging and demagoguery while Democrats seem to continuously shoot themselves in the foot. The corporate owned media needs to get much of the blame and it’s not just FOX. If everyone understood how they were becoming influenced by what they heard on tv, radio or the internet maybe things would change.
Don't make the mistake of assuming Trump is the problem. Trump is not the problem. This administration is the culmination of 45 years of assiduous work by Republicans, and they are reveling in it. They have no motive to impeach. The Supreme Court that enables all this is the product of decades of Republican shenanigans. It's not Trump, but the figures behind him that matter.
What does this Govt Shutdown represent? Republicans don’t want to work on fixing the middle class affordability of health insurance- the GOP Congress are taking a vacation day off. Bernie has the work ethic of what our Congress should demonstrate -
You mean like Obama did that worthless garbage they now cost more than it’s worth even with subsidies the subsidies were supposed to end and guess what they’re still begging to keep them because otherwise the place is gonna fold
I couldn't help myself this morning and wrote to Susan Collins. She's as complicit in this mess as any of the other Republicans. I told her that no Republican politician deserves any respect and ended it with a big "FUCK YOU!"
She is a fucking coward and her Democrat opponent is already drawing huge crowds at his rallies. In 2012 her popularity in ME was 80% and now it's 30%. Hopefully the other Republican candidates are just as popular as she is.
But not to just be impeached: Democrats need to concentrate there efforts — smart work and hard work — between now the 2026 midterms to aim at securing a supermajority control of the People’s House: 290 Democratic U.S. House members…and at least just a majority in the Senate — but the chances of a Senate conviction is difficult! …and then we have to deal with a President Vance.
I guess we have to believe in miracles…but let’s try!?!
Impeached and removed! I will never understand how this got this far. The Dems better come back loaded with legislation and a NEW platform that will benefit Americans and keep this from ever happening again. No more business as usual.
Does make one wonder just WHAT hold trump has over them. I presume they've all been promised preemptive pardons for any of his dirty work they do that ends up sticking to their grubby greedy hands, but if they thought it through they might realise that he will throw them under the first damn bus to save his skin when it hits the fan, and the questions over 'who knew what' start.
I don't know anything about their childhoods, but if someone told me that Steven Miller and Russell Vought pulled the wings off insects when they were young, I'd find that a whole lot easier to believe than the deep fake video of Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries.
What is so scary is that there are people who will believe the nonsense in that fake video. Undocumented people can’t vote, right? Just as they’ll believe Vance’s nonsensical statement that Democrats want trillions (trillions!) for transgender surgery and illegal immigrants. They go straight for the emotional triggers and I actually know people who are swayed.
Deep fake are you kidding me? Is this the same thing that they said about Ruth what were all the "" deep fake videos about a few years ago about the deep fakes about Joe Biden being non compos mentis were turned on to be more factual than life itself.
There's video from C-SPAN and I suppose C-SPAN does deep fakes showing Hillary Clinton talking about no medical care for any illegal immigrant Chuck Schumer doing the same Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer talking about how bad a shutdown is going to hurt the most vulnerable in this country and it should never happen, including AOC
Go look it up yourself stop with the Deep fame nonsense
"There's video from C-SPAN and I suppose C-SPAN does deep fakes showing Hillary Clinton talking about no medical care for any illegal immigrant Chuck Schumer doing the same Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer talking about how bad a shutdown is going to hurt the most vulnerable in this country and it should never happen, including AOC" - To quote you, GRU "Rick": Try English.
Google them yourself, but this is your last chance either you answer the question and list list for me how Donald Trump is making your life miserable and again you can then end up typing for the rest of your life and you’ll never hear from me.
This is my last response to you if you don’t answer my question five specific policies or laws that negatively affect your life currently.
And by the way, those particular videos from Hillary and Schumer and Hakeem Jefferies are all real so you can keep talking about deep fakes if you want, but it doesn’t change reality not that you live in that world
The Trump administration is dismantling the government and destroying national security, preparing to send troops into American cities. And the democrats are talking about healthcare and fairness. We’re in deep trouble here folks.
The “Democrats” you are referring to, Jeffries and Schumer, are supposed to be talking about healthcare. Who else will? Other Democrats, such as the Governor of Oregon, are filing hundreds of lawsuits against him. Others, like JB Pritzker, are using the bully pullpit to denounce his lies and call for the citizens of Illinois to photograph ICE agents beating, harassing, arresting and stopping individuals because of “how they look.” Still others, like Gavin Newsom, troll him every day, and are leading real challenges to his gerrymander.
I simply do not understand this constant, bizarre belief out there that “Democrats” are somehow doing nothing. Look around you and choose to play some role in his undoing. It’s happening all over the place.
Much of the media is not covering it - which tilts the perception. Even Nicole Wallace - who has held the line against Trump when many have not - tends to take one subject a night and pummel it to the ground with endless commentary. I watch her first half hour for the facts, but I don't need to hear Clair McCaskill drone on and on. I wish there were more coverage of town halls - of Bernie and AOC - of what Portland really looks like, and of the protests - large and small - happening across the country.
The concept that the Democrats are doing nothing, leaderless, weak, etc. has been furthered in mainstream media for at least a year. I have written letters to the NYT about their almost daily headlines denigrating Democrats in some way or another. Added to that the very minimal coverage of protests.
And then you have Rory McIlroy, a British subject and great golfer, who won after winning, the Ryder Cup said on TV , America is the greatest country in the world
I think you're right. I also think we should switch and not have the shutdown, because it's looking like the flailing around coming from the Oval office is designed to keep the Epstein files socked away. The crazier things get, the worse the revelations are likely to be. We really need to see them and get this going before we all think we're lying in Medbeds and the trump thugs are our friends. Still unclear to me why anyone would want to destroy the military and our national security but that's clearly the agenda.
Nonsense! Republican members of Congress have already gone home on their vacations while the Democrats are still there. Trump wants this lockdown and never intended to seriously discuss options with Schumer and Jeffries.
Fran thank goodness for your no nonsense post levelheaded post
The Dems are gonna get hammered for this because there's constant video of Schumer AOC Hakeem Jeffries talking about how horrible the shutdown is going to be and who it's gonna hurt and it's mostly your constituents
The med bed story was a fantasy and all of those who swallowed. It are really much too much gullible for words.
They're gonna shut it down and everybody here is gonna pay the price in someway
Are you well you’ve got to shut down maybe you wanna follow Europe‘s footsteps they’re doing great. There a link after link after link of the of their economic demise, unless they fix their immigration innovation social infrastructure
I had heard rumors about Europe’s economic struggles and the issue with unfettered, illegal immigration or over immigration that is causing a lot of social issues and economic issues in Europe and here’s what AI. said. In other words, we don’t want to follow Europe‘s lead
Yes, Europe's economy is in a troubled state, facing stagnation, low productivity, and declining competitiveness compared to the US and China. This is due to structural issues like high energy costs, political instability in major economies, a lack of investment in innovation, and aging demographics, which together threaten Europe's future growth and standing in the world.
Actually, it's augmenting the government so why don't you and TC tell me name me the five things that Donald Trump has done that is made your life more difficult. Don't give me rhetoric. Don't give me a tale of woe and don't give me a generic I hate him story. We already know that just tell us what five policies have negatively affected your life today not in the future not tomorrow not five years from now but today.
Rick, first you start with a bald-faced lie that the incompetent administration is augmenting the government and then ask people to name five things that the lying president has done to harm them right now. I’ve got one idea for you and your sycophantic and nonsensical postings. This miserable excuse for an elected official has destroyed faith in the government of the United States among the majority of Americans and the rest of the world. To continue. Food costs more. Employment has stalled for those seeking work. Home mortgage rates are still high. Health insurance premiums are rising. (My wife and I got our increase notices today.) The cost of prescription drugs is rising. Utility rates for gas, electricity and garbage disposal are rising. Local sales and property taxes are rising to make up for programs cut at the federal level to give the richest among us tax breaks. So cut the BS about augmenting the government and your stalking horse arguments about today’s latest harms being done to all of us here in America. They’re dishonest, boring and tiresome. Prattling on about this failed administration and attempting to justify its total absurdity is foolish.
Wow, Lynn didn’t know you have the power, the knowledge, or the acumen/experience to determine that our standing in the world is trashed you’re an incredibly talented person. lol
Except perhaps you didn’t notice the trade deals with the tariff deals and all the negotiations he won, including Japan in the EU, who called him daddy and NATO was one of the most intelligent and brilliant negotiations ever
We are once again the alpha country on the planet. Yeah, it’s trashed to the tune of three to $400 billion in increased revenue because of the tariffs
how horrible. Yikes. Take a couple aspirin see me in the morning.
He is first of all he took off all the redundant positions, and he fired those that were using the money deceitfully not helping citizens of the United States. Any reaction a huge budget to the military which we need and here’s the best part he find a mass increase in the number of ice agents which increase the number of federal employees, didn’t it. And he did that because Biden fucked up royally disney opening up the borders to illegal unvaccinated immigrants. But you forgot about that unvaccinated part too, huh?
People he’s not doing anything different than Obama or Clinton and I can’t believe you’re that ignorant. Clinton fired almost 400,000 people and Obama did the same pretty close to the same number. Left that many federal workers go, and I didn’t hear a word or a peep from you people.
Maybe you didn’t notice we’re writing checks we can’t cash to the tune of $37 trillion an hour interest payments or more than our military budget
And if you wanna know why your health insurance premiums are rising why don’t you take a look at how much for example, New York, California, and other blue states were spending on healthcare for illegal immigrants
I think between California and New York alone they’ve spent like over $30 billion but I think that’s just California.
And they’re now in possession of video with Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Chuck, Schumer, in public testimony on C-SPAN, saying that they should not be covering illegal immigrants with our tax dollars. Would you like to see those videos?
Bottom line we can’t keep increasing the federal workforce. We can’t afford to do that and Clinton and Obama do that and they did exactly the same the trumped it the only problem the difference is the TDS has affected the the blood streams of too many Americans. We are no longer the worlds bank, and we can no longer be the World Bank until we take care of Americans first
So take that 50 60, 70 billion at all the states have spent on illegals for healthcare and they will go your premiums back down again.
But if you want to know why your healthcare premiums are up in the first place, talk about Mr. non compos mentis that’s why. Dimwitthat just left the White House… golook it up
I have this chant that I use whenever certain people talk. "Liar!, Liar!, Liar, liar, liar!" Even though the speaker can't hear me, it makes me feel really good to remind myself of what I am hearing! I recommend it to everyone as a practice when having to listen to MAGAs or bots. Out loud! In a loud voice!
Hey, with more good news tonight because of the significant overestimation of the hurricane season this year in the US AOC is giving us an extra six months to live surviving climate change,… and as well Jimmy Kimmel has only lost 64% of his audience on the third day of his show since it’s return
Donald Trump’s drug task force finds 1,000,000 pounds of cocaine headed for the US value of $11 billion…We just took from the Narco terrorists. And saved hundreds of not thousands of lives in the United States. What
Oh, and incidentally, the task force that seized 1,000,000 pounds of cocaine were wearing masks unbelievably and the group came out of unmarked helicopters
Trump sends national guard to Portland to QUELL the riot against an ICE facility… stopping people from defacing federal property, using battering rams, attacked an ice officerS, Physically, brought a large guillotine to the protest. And now the chaos has been temporarily paused.
AND HEATHER AND HER FOLLOWERS IS SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY NOW AS TRUMP REDUCES PRESCRIPTION DRUG PRICES BY OBTAINING FAVORED NATION STATUS, lowering drug prices like the rest of the world has obtained (but where Biden failed) except with one drug/insulin by a govt subsidy) AND ABOUT 95% DRUG PRices WILL BE LOWERED by the end of Trumps term…but Pfizer negotiations just now have lowered prices now….. here’s the latest from AI. C
And here we go so much for the BS hype from all you people with your broken crystal balls and Ouija boards. JUST ANOTHER AND ONE OF MANY EXISTENTIAL THREAT TO DEMOCRACY AND AMERICA THAT NEVER HAPPENED. UH OH
The negotiation between Pfizer and the government aims to lower drug prices for American patients by aligning them with the lowest prices paid in other developed nations. As a result, Pfizer will offer discounts of up to 85% on certain medications, particularly for Medicaid patients, and will sell these drugs through a new direct-to-consumer website called TrumpRx.

So Heather tells her followers stop the hate look what Trump has done. Lmao
"Bottom line" is that you are a tedious windbag troll working for the GRU and 98.5% of the readers here ignore you completely and the rest troll you back for fun.
you get dumber and more ignorant and more incoherent with every post and you don’t even realize what you’re posting yourself
If I get one and a half percent I get almost as much as Trump won the election by. Lololol.
Let’s see Betsy lives either on the east or west coast or in another country. Can your shoes go outside take a walk go sit in the park and feed the pigeons. Do something productive with your life.
Murdering fishermen on open waters makes me ashamed of my country. Blithering idiocy at UN makes me look foolish. Normalizing vulgar and violent behavior offends me.
The rest of the world has lost respect for me as being complicit.
Sure unless you start affecting those around you negatively.
And I guess it’s OK if you die at 30 because you took too much of a drug or you took the wrong drug as it was spiked or you took a drug and you thought it was good and it turned out to be poison like fentanyl.
Well, that was pretty specific. Yikes. We’re Betsy lost in a quagmire. What do I do? ? She moans to herself? I know I’ll keep posting non-response responses she says.
By the way, did you hear the latest from federal chief Powell who said the tariffs are not affecting the economy they thought they would, and not impacting inflation the way we thought they would end up bringing up to $400 billion of new revenue to the United States each year based on projections, and now the CBO is actually done a new projection, stating that if things continue as they are right now The new projection is that there will be a $4 trillion deficit reduction from trumps initiatives
Uh oh.
Not to mention his latest favorite nation negotiation with Pfizer and other drug companies that are going to lower drug cost for Medicaid recipients. More oops
Well, would you rather be Europe? Stop being ignorant, a number of presidents hepps said troops for a variety of reasons in our history. Go google it.
We’re not in trouble at all. Why don’t you take a look at Europe and see what they did and many people like you here. Want to follow in your footsteps like idiots.
Try this he’s not dismantling he’s actually improving and streamlining just like Obama and Clinton did except their names weren’t Trump
But maybe you might wanna read this since Heather keeps you in the dark pretty much. Here you go this is already two months old he’s been involved in a five piece deals around the world and three of the leaders of those Piece deals have nominated him for a Nobel Peace Prize. One of the wars have been going on for 27 years and he stopped it, and they shook hands in public but of course you didn’t know that either and they both at the same time gave Trump credit. So add to the 20 that add to it that the habit economic downturn that they predict it has not happened as of now and even fed chairman Powell said that the tariffs are not impacting inflation as they thought it would. However, I could show you a nice chart if you’d like but Biden had food prices up 20% gas prices doubled mortgage rates, tripled , And inflation was between seven and 9%. No it’s below three but the price increase that Biden caused still states you can’t just snap your fingers. Takes work and cost cutting measures. That’s exactly what’s happening
K82Bullet points of Trump’s wins .. this is the assertion as I read articles from various publications.
1. Closed the border in only 75 days when AOC and Mayorkas and Harris (aka the border czar) said that the NOY ONLY THAT THE BORDER WAS SECURE, but only way to do it was legislation/aka mass amnesty) which, of course would take years. It didn’t fall the public when 10 to 15,000 illegals cross the border every day while the people in the administration continue to tell the story of the border being secure
And as well, the Democrats attempted to allow these folks to vote. Attempted in many local precincts, including 800,000 people/non-citizens in New York City given permission to vote and only ceased by the highest court in the state of New York.
2. Removing/deporting/arresting over 1,000,000 illegals that were brought in by Biden and the Democrats in order to get them to be able to vote. ( and there is proof of that)
3. The precision, annti- Iran nuclear strike. TACO pseudonym up in smoke. Using tension on the entire world, fearful of a nuclear Iran. While it’s proxies now remain quiet, on the Global stage
4. Three Trump assisted peace/cease fire deals. Iran/ Israel, Pakistan/ India. Somalia/ethiopia
5. The NATO increase in defense deal, including purchasing unique weaponry from the US to dissuade Russian aggression , well the leaders of NATO looked up to Trump and even called him, Daddy and thanked him for having pushed them to increase their funding to protect them against Russia, while the left and Legacy media called it bullying .
6. Despite economic specialists, liberal congress leadership, legacy media, boasting impending economic doom, rampant inflation (currently lowest in four years), global tariff and trade war nightmares, stock market crash, unemployment spikes, all unrealized thus far, and all wrong so far and now admitting they were wrong so far.
7. Doge.finding much fraud, waste, and abuse… further details in bullet point coming later. But all leading to the $9 billion recission bill.
8. THE OBBB… finding one of the only ways to assist the middle and lower income folks by eliminating tax on tips tax on Social Security and tax on overtime..for the time being… while increasing our defense budget, perhaps acquiring our own golden dome like Israel’s iron dome against foreign aggression… creating the permanent tense cuts of the first Trump administration, and including a large tax for the middle and working class. A $12.5 billion bill for modernization of our air traffic control system.
Many incentives for small business
9. The $9 billion rescission bill eliminating the federal government from funding, left-wing networks, and eliminating other sources of waste, fraud and abuse. 4 men pleading guilty to $500 million fraud at USA ID and another find is $2.7 billion fraud against Medicare. That would’ve grown to almost 14,000,000,000, had it not been detected
10. Job growth, exceeding expectation and estimates.
11. Eliminating the Department of education and sending education back to the states.
12. Referring Rowe v Wade back to the states where the voters have a voice not just nine Supreme Court justices.
13. Hey Siri of favorable Supreme Court rulings, stopping local justices rampant attempts to stop legislation …as an example from nationwide injunctions. Deportation rulings, deportation rulings, defund USAID, and the Dept of Education, and a few more of a personal nature
14. Stock market Ascension. Despite persistent assertions by the left and other economic pundits, the NASDAQ hit an all-time high. While the S&P also hit an all-time high and had the longest upward trajectory in the last 20 years. Well, the Dow is also threatening to beat its all-time high, which was in December 2024 after Trump’s election.
15. A major unexpected occurrence in June having to do with the deficit for the first time in 20 years for the month there was a budget surplus of $27 billion. Personally, I don’t imagine that will continue despite the tremendous amount of tariff income.
16. Somewhere between 10 and $13 trillion of additional investment in the USA by foreign entities as well as American companies, expanding their businesses here in America versus outsourcing them to other countries such as Mexico and China., including some of America’s and foreign most successful companies.
17. Gas prices continue to fall, even despite the attack on Iran, which by most assertions would’ve increased the price of gas, however the opposite has happened including the lowest gas prices in five years on Memorial Day as an example
Egg prices down 66% while the left was screaming about egg prices in January when Trump took office… average prices of eggs highest in March at $6.22 while the lowest average is $2.52 in June
18. Removing men participating in women’s sports, therefore leveling the playing field for women.
19. Reaching their military recruitment goals, five months early versus the short fall of 40 to 50,000 recruits during the previous administration.
20. Putting out the fire of antisemitism, especially at elitist universities, while promising severe consequences of antisemitic policies by eliminating federal support.
Well, those are the top 20 on the billboard charts. I welcome all the forthcoming love.
Hillary Clinton illegal immigration speech about healthcare
In 1998, Hillary Clinton stated that her health care plan would not cover illegal immigrants, emphasizing that while she supports basic health services for them, universal coverage would be reserved for those legally in the country. She acknowledged the need for hard choices in addressing the nation's health care challenges.
Hillary Clinton's Stance on Health Care for Illegal Immigrants in 1998
Health Care Coverage
* Hillary Clinton stated that her proposed universal health care plan would not cover illegal immigrants.
* She emphasized that while basic health services should be available, such as hospitalization and treatment for acute conditions, the broader health care plan would focus on those legally residing in the U.S.
Rationale Behind the Decision
* Clinton argued that the health care challenges facing the nation required prioritizing legal residents.
* She acknowledged the need for a safety net but maintained that illegal immigrants would not be included in her universal coverage proposal.
Public Statements
* Clinton expressed that "people who are here legally deserve some better treatment and acceptance in the law than people who are not here legally."
* She recognized the complexity of the issue and described it as involving "hard choices."
This position reflects her approach to health care reform during her political career, balancing the need for universal coverage with the realities of immigration policy.
Like anyone is going to read that long diatribe, GRU "Rick". Good thing you "use voice to text" or your fingers would be damn tired. You sound like the adults on a Peanuts film - "Wuh wuh wuh wuh wuh wuh."
SecDrunk Kegstand wants to "reorder priorities" to deploy the military in the US? Combine that with the latest recruiting video from the Pentagon: Kegstand at attention in front of the flag with video of "warrior ethos" troops doing "warrior ethos" stuff, over a reading of the SBC/Christian Nationalist conservative version of The Lord's Prayer. You think the recruits attracted by that are going to be ready to "defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies domestic" when the Domestic Enemy is Dear Leader?
Our Donald, who tweets in heaven, hallowed be thy brand. Thy tariffs come, thy will be done, on Fox News as it is at Mar-a-Lago. Give us this day our daily grievance, and forgive us our indictments, as we forgive none of our enemies. Lead us not into fake news, but deliver us many ratings. For thine is the kingdom, and the golf course, and the covfefe. Forever and ever, bigly. Amen
You can have your own copy, suitable for framing, here:
Me neither. I just looked it up, and it honestly doesn’t seem all that different from a standard Protestant Lord’s Prayer. I’m Catholic, so I always find the inclusion of the doxology jarring. (for thine is the kingdom part).
I get that I’m old, but I will never understand why Protestants left the beauty of the King James Bible behind for clarity of translation. But I don’t take it literally so it doesn’t matter if the translation isn’t accurate, maybe if you do, that does matter.
You do realize that only children call people names. You can suggest the people are not smart or ignorant, but you make up names for them to play.
Apply the way the domestic leader is a hero and he's gonna be even a greater hero before his terms so get behind your president and your country and when you finally realize if you can't beat them join them that's exactly what you should do and all of a sudden you're gonna realize you're gonna have a smile on your face
What I said was, you can’t comment on someone’s physical appearance, you can criticize what they say, or what they do. but you don’t criticize someone’s physical appearance…. that’s Name calling. It’s a pity you don’t see the difference. Take another look at the post that you use as a reference.
Only see one indicates a personal appearance reference.
That is literally not what you said. Ahem. "You do realize that only children call people names. You can suggest the people are not smart or ignorant, but you make up names for them to play." And come on. Calling names is only inappropriate or juvenile when it refers to appearance? We teach first graders that they shouldn't call each other stupid. I would think that would apply as well to the President of the United States. It is so unbecoming of the office, and if you can't see that... Why I am even bothering at this point, I could say the sky was blue, and you'd find some angle to tell me why I'm wrong.
Hillary Chuck and AOC and Hakeem Railing against government shutdowns
Hillary’s is absolutely the best she’s young and she’s actually pretty and she sits there. We’re not giving blanket insurance to illegals. They don’t deserve it. We’re putting it in the hands of Americans first. Oooops
She’s using the same exact words as Donald Trump exactly the same words America first.
No, but everything I told you was correct. Denial is not gonna help you and furthermore. The left has more. What about isms the Chinese people in china NONE OF THOSE THINGS IMPACT AMERICANS IN ANY TANGIBLE WAY. The only thing that affects you are policies and laws end of story.
The problem with everybody here pretty much you can’t articulate specifically what policies of Donald Trump’s have negatively affected your life, but you hate and hate and hate and hate and here’s why
When the Democrats/liberals don’t have control they lose control and all of a sudden violence becomes normal with them. And that’s why I brought up name calling. Most of the name-calling from the right is critical of the characteristics of their job performance or their inaptitude. A majority of the comments from the left insult personal features. AGAIN not that ANY of that matters.
Here’s currently what the left has it has control of nothing, which is the major reason for their outrage because they don’t control a damn thing
You have no agenda other than hate Trump. You have no leaders that are right their mind. Taking the sides of men competing in women’s sports.
protecting illegals before protecting American citizens just to name a few …
And as long as you don’t have control, you have idiots trying to kill the president trying to kill the people who are removing criminals from the streets and rioting as usual.
Your best bet is to stand behind your president and stand behind your country and then you will be happy.
And you could say thank you to him for closing the border and you could say thank you to him for all the money you’ve made in your 401(k) since he’s president TWICE.
Read above. And if you make comments that are ridiculously incorrect, those are also pretty outrageous. Many of the comments made above, indicate precisely the characteristic that they based the comment upon

But once again true. So here’s what I’ve decided Betsy or whatever the hell your name is and wherever you live outside the United States if you can’t name five issues that currently and specifically negatively affect your life, our conversations are done.
I am sad, anxious about my healthcare, worried for my son who can’t find a job, scared for brown people and innocent fishermen, and very, very angry at selfish people in power who are letting everyone down.
Setting aside your flagrant flailing of basic English language grammar, have you lost your fucking mind?!?
American soldiers on the streets of America, ICE goons beating up women in courtrooms across the Country, DOGE cuts followed by cowardly, supine Republicans' cutting Medicaid and Obama care, and standing soullessly by while their fat, fascistic leader wobbles onto a golf course and incites his barbarians, after he blithely impounds congressionally voted upon funds for disaster relief, health care, education, life saving medications here and abroad, AND orders his idiotic, Stepford Wife disgrace of an Attorney General to indict his political opponents and other innocent public servants just because his sociopathic, juvenile feelings are hurt and she complies.....
What is the point of engaging with a troll? It may make you feel better, but it fucks up the entire comment section for everyone else. Please consider the consequences.
The point is learning the facts not just a BS that you guys put out and I still have asked you 10 times name me the five top points of contention that Donald Trump has caused you negative negativity in your life on a daily basis or an annual basis as long as it’s current and not fortuneteller BS.
Well, I have to give you credit first that my English is so poor that you understand it anyway. Lololol. Actually, I’m surprised you understand anything since you refuse to read what I write.
And yes, things are working great absolutely Trump is doing exactly what his voters wanted him to do and he’s one of the few presents that is following through. Oh and you forgot all the trade deals and the 400 billion a year of the tariffs are bringing in and even fed chair Powell. The other day said well it’s true that the Terrace are not having the inflationary impact. We thought they would whoops. And of course you haven’t heard of the latest CBO report that suggested things go the way they’re going right now that the deficit might actually be trimmed by 4 trillion.
And don’t forget to give back all the money you’ve received from the increase in the stock market and your 401(k), etc. you certainly don’t deserve
You know I’m really tired of sending you comments because you don’t read them I sent you links about the hundreds of times that the president presidents have sent troops to local cities to reunions or local protests so do me a favor either read what I write or I’m not gonna respond. Read them and weep. It’s been done tons of times go read the links I sent you and check out 50 more. And I don’t care what it takes to get criminals off the street and you shouldn’t either nobody’s attacking legalized people not doing anything wrong.
You really don’t redo you no one’s cutting Medicaid. They’re doing exactly what Bill Clinton did with Medicaid so wake up or stop telling half stories.
They’re mimicking what Bill Clinton did requiring work for able-bodied people under a certain age to work nothing more. And let me know when anything different happens. OK but I won’t hear from you on that topic again. Well, maybe I will because you don’t read.
I determined that morons or people that don’t read and you fit squarely into that group. Go Google how many times Presidents have put federal troops on the street for a variety of reasons, including protests I can’t help you if you want to remain willfully ignorant
By the way, Trump is winning the argument every day, so don’t tell me who the fucking moron is you you’re siding with the losers and they will continue to lose for at least the next three years if not more
And if I’m the fucking moron, what are we doing to stop the $37 trillion of deficit that we have funding foreign countries again sending money to Democrat funded nonsense pledges why don’t you take a minute and look up where the money that we were sending through USA ID was going
He’s only indicting the ones that try to impeach him illegally in the first place by using FISA courts with lies. They took to the FISA court and it will all come out pretty soon, so don’t worry about it
I guess you didn’t hear. Call me testimony the other day along with two or three other department of justice officials saying knowing what they know now they would’ve never gone to the FISA Court.
You are hopelessly, lost my friend, my hateful friend. And I’m not a religious man, but I will pray for you. And at the same time, I do pity you so don’t think I’m heartless.
Yes, our fascist government courts more evil – so, the perfect book for now.
This is the Library of America’s “World War II Writings” of A. J. Liebling. In particular, its “Uncollected War Journalism” for “Letter from Tripoli, May 1, 1943,” “Notes from the Kidnap House, Part I and Part III,” and “Letter from France, August 10, 1944.”
In all of these Liebling dwells on collaborationism. That is, how many French – officials, intellectuals, writers, actors, and actresses – followed the big industrialists with Hitler and the Nazis – as today do not only MAGA cultists, but also elite law, universities, legacy media, and social media billionaires.
In proportion to how much a genius Liebling was for seeing personality and character in people – especially working-class, “little” people, he hated how too many higher up in society clung to social groups and tribal networks, opportunists for what then seemed the winning side (Hitler’s Waffen SS and fascists). “A race of men without individuality,” is how he put it.
When I say Liebling excelled in the details of working-class individuals, I stress, too, how surprise abilities in them shone in the contexts of their overwhelmingly bad history then. He also saw individuals by the eyes of their peers, also fighting that repellant history. He loved describing how these peers cherished the best among them – even with practical jokes on them, too.
If we turn the tide of police state America, it will be thanks to those our artists can see, and too many of our elites cannot.
Did he mention that IBM was a record keeper for the Nazi concentration camps. They kept great records and IBM made big bucks I’m sure. Collaborationism is not dead in our world today.
Standard Oil. AT&T, Goodyear, Ford, GM, the biggest Wall St. banks -- all profitted.
All had deep ties with Hitler's Waffen SS industries. These were all, or almost all, headed by and staffed by the "best and the brightest" of 1930s America. All or almost all grads of the Ivy League, and before that the most prestigious prep schools of the East Coast. All WASP, old family ties.
Maybe -- conjecture on my part, JD -- the only reason the U.S. didn't side with Hitler was that those elites then were also insufferably Anglophile.
And America's working classes were not. Were, rather, a heterodox mix. And very union.
So sad that so many Dems have so totally lost touch with those working-class bases.
To Phil, sorry, Lewis not Smith. Also what is major factor in pre WW2 politics. Was The Kings dalliance with Wallace and her favor with Nazis a factor. Or did Churchill ramrod the crown. Or am I way off base
Phil, our fascist government that you claim as fascist is trying to keep the government open. But the left despite all their hysteria for years about the pain of shutting down the government is asking for over 1,000,000,000,000 1/2 dollars to support illegal immigrants and other nonsense like reinstating, PBS and NPR. An extending the law of the subsidies that were supposed to end now for Obama care that was supposed to work. It is now really unaffordable.
Friends, Portland isn't the issue. Epstein isn't the issue. The shutdown isn't the issue.
IMHO the issue to be concerned about now is the purging of the military's leadership and the loyalty oath that will be required. The purging of anyone not loyal to Trump and the oath declaring loyalty to Trump that will be required of all our military leaders.
Everything else pales in comparison. Imagine our military swearing allegiance not to our Constitution, but to one man. A military that will follow illegal orders without hesitation. This is the obvious plan.
We've seen how Hegseth, Miller and Trump are purging the military, government and even our national museums in their attempt to rewrite history and eliminate people of color and women. Now they'll eliminate anyone in a command position in the military who doesn't agree with their agenda.
There's nothing stopping them from doing this. They sneer at law, tradition and our complaints. They have power and they're not about to simply turn it over to anyone else. You may think I'm wrong about this. But history says I'm not.
My hope - it's just a hope - is that all high-ranking officers in the US military have actually read, thought about and even studied our Constitution and were in earnest when they swore to defend it against all enemies. Inevitably a few of them will turn out to have become cowards and/or have convinced themselves that Trump is not an habitual liar in the service of his own interests.
But the rest of them? They know they have an obligation, both legal and moral, not to follow any illegal order(s), even from their president, even if they voted for him.
And, the best of them know that they may soon face some very difficult but necessary choices.
Our nation's reputation and future is in their hands.
Thanks for your reply, David. My hope, that I've had since Trump began his purge of military commanders, is that they are staying in touch with their counterparts in NATO and are doing more than just sending pleasant emails. As you say: it's just a hope. 👍
I believe that the administration is so shallow that this is actually what they say it is. A power play by the administration. A DEI-training session about how they need 'fitter' soldiers, better grooming standards, fewer brown soldiers and a new 'warrior ethos'.
Trump is aware that the only people who are actual threats to him are the people in that room. It would take a word and we would have a military coup (which NO ONE should want). A 'fealty' oath would be a step too far.
Hegseth knows these men don't respect him (and they shouldn't). He's still playing little pogue ff games. The actual men in the room are not going to be impressed.
They have no interest in being lectured by a NG who has never actually held a rifle except for PR photos.
Do you have evidence that there is a loyalty oath to trump happening? Or are you just worried. I still have faith that there is military brass that would reject a refocus of loyalty to trump over country and constitution. I have only hope.
I have heard what the pundits say and fears expressed by others. The bloviating bully says all kinds of things he has no ability to do. The generals appear to have been stoic across the room with no applause. He can’t fire all of them! I think these folks are too professional and seasoned to quit their careers over an eye rolling speech by 2 blowhards. This meeting was performative, irresponsible, and unnecessary. I believe that most in the room felt it was a waste of their time and taxpayer money. I actually think it is more likely to erode the support of military brass. All just my opinion based on reading. I have heard no indication that they were asked to swear or sign fealty to the orange turd.
If everyone stopped working and buying things for 3 days the CEOs would lose BILLIONS and BILLIONS of dollars and would slap Trump down in a heartbeat.
Reach out to as many in the Senate and House as you can about the Epstein files and gun violence. They are bigger than “I only represent my constituents” issues.
Use/share this spreadsheet (bit.ly/Goodtrouble) as a resource to call/email/write members of Congress, the Cabinet and news organizations. Reach out to those in your own state, and those in a committee that fits your topic. Call. Write. Email. Protest. Unrelentingly. We deserve better ❤️🩹🤍💙
As the daughter of a three generation military family, I actually have found some hope from this utterly stupid chess move.
These military men have dedicated their lives and sworn their allegiance to protecting this country. They have watched their leaders disparage, disrespect and decimate care for their brethren. They have watched them wantonly put them in harms way, including the egregious risk of locating them all in one place for god knows what—likely to control a leak re: what will be discussed. They are highly skilled in strategic warfare and military history, and they watched last week as strikes were made (without Congressional clearance) on international civilians now appearing to be innocent fisherman. And now they are watching as untrained, dishonorable ‘militia’ bully and terrorize civilians in our streets, funded by billions taken from supporting their wounded. And, finally, let’s not forget the detestable act of firing medaled, respecrfed fellow military leaders for their sex and/or race.
These men are men of honor, code and dedication., If you think they are going to make a public fuss to get wantonly fired’, think again. They have been war gaming this kind of government coup for years, and they are way ahead of those bozos. And trust me, they indeed see this leadership as domestic enemies.
‘The Colonel’ as my grandpa was known, would be ready. He and his comrades would have reviewed the various scenarios that may unfold and how, united, they would be responded to. If loyalty was demanded, they’d play along to hold the cards, disband and get busy on the counter strike.
Have some faith, friends. We will never know what’s happening behind the curtain, but they didn’t r dedicate their lives and watch countless soldiers lose theirs to kiss the ring to a handful of billionaires hell bent on destroying all that they have fought to protect.
I truly think this month will be remembered as the one in which the puppeteers pushed too far. They may have play booked Project 2025 within an inch if it’s life, but it was built by greedy businessmen, and they have underestimated our military’s might—and motivation—to move against it.
It’s gonna be a wild ride, but stay strong , sane and steady.
The entire concept of 'pulling rank' to get these people away from their commands and into yet another meeting that could have been an email for a 'pep talk' from the Orange Traitor is not going to sit well with these men.
"Donald Trump walked into Quantico Tuesday expecting a rally. He got a funeral.
The generals sat in perfect silence, faces locked in the kind of grim stillness that comes from years of watching idiots talk and choosing not to react. Trump, of course, couldn’t handle it. “I’ve never walked into a room so silent before,” he confessed, his voice trembling somewhere between wounded pride and panic. Then came the kicker: “If you want to applaud, you applaud.”
I am with you. I believe there are too many high ranking career officers who have seen bozo politicians come and go like the seasons. They are stoic and tight lipped professionals. Yes, many great women, trans, and soldiers of color have been removed but that is not the majority.
Bigotry will get you everywhere these days. Hatred for democrats has been front and center for republicans for decades. I remember Rove in Texas, the Tea Party, the venom against Obama, and the religious assault on democrats. I did not imagine any of it. It has been deliberate and malicious. The usual suspects and a bunch of new ones- tech bros, big money, religious inquisitioners, and, of course, the same old greedy bastards. Never forget Rupert and the lies that come with drawing breath for too many. But the internal hatred for each other is epidemic and carefully orchestrated. Voices of sanity are drowned out and the 90-decibel hate machine rolls on. Vought is the perfect spokesmodel for our insane world. Maybe NYT and WaPo could quote his big mouth instead of sanewashing these traitors. They have just about finished the destruction of the administrative state that has only been evil in their evil minds. My little corner of the world looks about the same, today. But it is in the crosshairs, as is yours.
Exactly, republicans have been working hard to transition from a vision to reality for each and every one of us. Repubs from Ronnie to Rupert, to Meese to L. Lehrman, to Bush’s’ to ALL SC nominees. Never leave out Newt, Rove, Buckley. Damn, so many devoted cretins have been traitors to democracy
You can thank the Republican appointed justices of the Supreme Court for rewriting the constitution to allow all this to happen. When Trump goes they must go also.
It's come to my mind that we need to start teach-in protests, with short 2--5 minute presentations about US and world history, science and medicine, civics and voting, etc. It might be hopeless, but we need to confront the lies directly, face-to-face and in public. .
Not fair to call SM a Nazi based on his appearance. Very fair to call him a Nazi based on his fascist ideology.
But really, sometimes our exterior DOES accurately portray our interior.
Miller is a prime example - he just gets worse when he opens his mouth!
Santa Monica Goebbels...
His facial expressions are agonizing. His angry shrill voice trying to bring doom on everyone.
Agreed. My problem is calling him a Nazi because he resembles Goebbels rather than calling him a Nazi because he thinks and acts like one.
Miller had every advantage imaginable growing up, and yet this is what he did with it. I'm so sorry for his parents and his family. I imagine having Musk run off with his wife didn't help matters.
Raiders of the Lost Ark nazi could be miller's older brother...
SMAZI
I used to say not to compare folks to Nazis, it belittled the Holocaust. Last few years, I’m “yes, they’re Nazis”.

We Mustn't Compare Them to Nazis
A selection of transcriptions, excerpts, and quotations, presented without editorial comment.
https://gregolear.substack.com/p/we-mustnt-compare-them-to-nazis
I think we can compare them where it fits. It is after all, a White Supremacist regime.
I go straight to ‘Nutzis’! ie ‘bad nuts’ with a Germanic flavor?
Jones has no conscience. Never will. Love his story that he thought the women who saw him with the 'toothbrush' mustache were "going to throw there panties at me." Only the ones they had crapped in Jones.
Miller reinforces his nazi- like views every time he opens his mouth. Can you imagine what it must be like to live in his house? Wonder how his house is decorated?
Iddle Stevie HATES being called a Nazi. You know how to stop it, Stevie??? STOP DOING THE THINGS THAT ARE NAZI-LIKE. See? Easy-peasy.
I have seen a side-by-side of Stevie and a rectal polyp--very strong resemblance
And I think Homan the Bagman looks like Mr. Potato Head
Yes, she does look like a baked potato! We need to make a coloring book with all the faces we have come up with.
Whittle-white Stevie Ass-toe RP! I’m smiling!
You don't need an AI video to see the resemblance....
It's precisely Nazis who demonize and dehumanize others. We shouldn't fall into the same trap.
Generally true, yes. But that’s a pretty light characterization considering all the harm he & the Trump admin are causing, no?
They’re causing a lot of fear & anxiety also, and belittling them humorously a little bit may reduce their seeming omnipotence?
I was wide awake @ 0415 today so, had the 'pleasure of hearing Hogsbreath & T spout their stupidness. We need manly men in the military he said. What? "No dresses" no DEI offices. On & On. T and his sing- song tone, rambling speech made me all asleep. How those officers sat there listening to that punk Hogsbreath tell the experts how to run the military is beyond me. Hope they all get back to their bases before the government shutdown closes the airports.
Totally agree about all of what you posted!
Yes. McConnell gets the assist. I hope he has trouble sleeping.
My fervent wish for him is unrelenting explosive diarrhea
About the shut down over medical health care, it sounded like Trump knew nothing about the health care issue. I wonder if his minions are totally keeping him in the dark as I heard he knew nothing about Heg's meeting with all the military officers. Also, someone had to have created that video really fast because I don't belief that Trump is sharp enough to even be in his present position as President of the USA. I think his mental condition is in bad shape with what comes out of his mouth. He is Project 2025 people's patsy! That is my feeling.
He has the thoughts and actions to go with them.
Nazis want the extermination of an entire part of their own citizens. Neofascists usually don't want that. Nor does Miller, as far as I know.
Actually we have strong verbal confirmation for RP Miller is a strong supporter of Eugenics and racial purity. This is the foundation for the killing machines, and for the extreme use of ICE to remove non-threatening people, rather than the dealers and drugs lords they promised.
Because 47 doesn’t care about anyone and he certainly isn’t worried about keeping Americans either safe or healthy.
I think he’s hoping many of the less than billionaires will simply croak.
Very well said, Dale! You are absolutely correct!
Ruth, I am not defending these awful people. Could it be the lives of their families have been threatened?
Why won't the abused Epstein ladies tell all? Is it bc their lives have been threatened?
I am trying to understand.
But in MAGA land, women are "liars".
Idiots think it’s good to pull the rug out from under the very personnel in charge of keeping our country safe.
If a foreign entity were doing to the US government what tRump and the latter-day rethugs are, it would be denounced as an act of war. I would propose since it comes from within we start calling it what it is - an gigantic act of treason.
Who thinks it's a good idea? Those who wrote P25.
Russia has definitely been active.
https://saltypolitics.substack.com/p/the-kremlins-bears-strike-dnc-dccc
I have not read The Handmaid's Tale but it is mentioned so much I thought to look it up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Handmaid%27s_Tale
Why?
Vought is another evil walking this earth. Agree that he makes Mitch look like a choir boy.
Who thinks it's a good idea is the Puppet Master, Putin ... (aka, "Grandpa in his Bunker".)
MisTBlu, I would add the Nazi ghoul, Miller.
47’s being in la la land is a perfect opportunity for Acting President Miller and uber-Christian Vought to indulge their cruelty.
What do you suppose happened to these cruel men in their childhoods that warped them in such a dangerous way? As adults, however they
make a deliberate choice every day to be cruel to fellow citizens. NO excuses for them. Trump got a get out of jail card. Miller and Vaught did not.
Looking forward to seeing them in orange at their trials.
During the shutdown we need to reach out and support everyone who is hurt by it. Be prepared to help.
GJ, I agree with every word of your comment, except one. I'm being pedantic, but I encourage you to call officials who are members of the Democratic Party by their correct political affiliation: "Democratic."
Republicans have used "Democrat" as a pejorative since 1940.
https://www.npr.org/sections/publiceditor/2010/03/26/114585414/since-when-did-it-become-the-democrat-party
One final potshot: Turnabout is fair play. If the GOP wants to denigrate their opponents by calling them the "Democrat Party," we should call the GOP what they are, the Nazi Party.
Perfectly said!
GJ, I can wear my white TACO apron when I'm cooking with my enchilada sauce & chorizo. Stains will be a good reminder of this current state of events.
All show lauriemcf. All show.
Only people who benefit by this mass call to come to DC are hotels and airlines. Oh, and Trump will have yet another audience to perform for.
Police should have been called. There are fines for that.
Illegally parking in two handicap spaces or zip-tying shopping carts?
Handicap parking.
Get a grip.
Russell Vought already has a grip on government.
Get a grip.
I'm trying
You read me wrong. The next three years is what I have referred to.
Sad, but true. However, all the people & corporations that are getting incredibly wealthy will be around for a loooong time 🤬
It's not all for naught.
But what is your question?
All that destruction so Russell et alia can force Americans to accept living in a Christofascist nation.
how they square all this destruction and cruelty with the teachings of Jesus is mind-blowing. They want the control part of religion and none of the kindness.
That’s it in a nutshell.
They’ve hijacked Christianity for their own ends - what little remains.
It’s been done before & increasingly gives religion a bad name.
Each day this remains unaddressed in any "plan" brings us loser to the many-faceted debacle facing us.
they have hijacked "fake" Christianity--not the real Christianity that lives the Gospel and Jesus' command to "Love one another."
They are corrupting the Gospels, deliberately and apparently with no thought of their souls. Could they be soulless
And we are all being socially-emotionally destabilized. That is the point. It is very intentional.
I am worried to my core.
Me, too, Laurie-me, too. I feel sick with the anxiety.
Yes Bambi, 'the best antidote to despair is action'.
"I am hoping these generals and admirals have been chatting among themselves to plan for some such disgraceful behavior from the ignoramuses"
1. I'm sure they have.
2. Pretty sure that's the real point of this meeting.
I am sure they have been.
Mine too!
Linda. I am worried as well. So many steps TOO FAR🤬🤬🤬
Beyond worried. From the beginning I said this is about a military takeover.
Me too. But our fears and worries cannot prevent us from taking action.

There is far more backbone out there than popular imagination gives credit for. Joyce Vance’s “Pete Hegseth and the Generals” goes into more detail.
https://joycevance.substack.com/
Thanks for the link. Preordered her book!
I was listening to a retired general yesterday and he said it is against military rules for them to speak out. We’ll have to see what they do today.
Let us hope. Trump has culled many a general and admiral for lack of personal loyalty to him, I recall.
We've seen a similar thing with Trump's nominee for the US attorney's office in Washington, Jeanine Pirro, failing three times to secure grand jury indictments.
https://edition.cnn.com/2025/08/26/politics/pirro-grand-jury-alleged-fbi-agent-attacker
And let's not forget Deputy AG Todd Blanche taking the unprecedented step of meeting with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell on the same day that attorneys from his office were motioning a court to deny her appeal against her conviction.
Thanks for the additional references. It's hard to keep pace with such unrelenting chaos, corruption and fuckupery.
It's absolute chaos at the DoJ. They've already failed to secure a terrorism charge against Luigi Mangione and now his lawyers are trying to get the death penalty off the table because of prejudicial comments from AG Pam Bondi and Trump himself.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/sep/20/luigi-mangione-lawyers-death-penalty
It's taken a couple of decades but this is the scenario Osama bin Laden expected would be the immediate result of the 9/11 attacks.
MAGA: Morons or Monkeys Are Governing America. The incompetence is staggering. Only a dysfunctional democracy could saddle us with such stupidity. Appoint monkeys, and this is what you get—though real monkeys might have made less of a mess.
Monkeys Are Governing America is an insult to monkeys.

Yes GJ: That's just one prospect that causes me delight; Can you imagine ?
In trumplandia the "best people" puts form, i.e., Barbie, over substance.

The incompetence is abundant. Further, their hatred of the bureaucracy is not based on fact but fantasy. But perhaps it is the extremes meanness, the taking pleasure in the harming of others, that is most disturbing and, in the end, what turns out to be most harmful to the nation.
I can think of no worse torture than starvation. Bibi and Trump are both guilty of this as is Putin.
W. talked about the axis of evil and now we are in the middle of it.
Best description of Goebbels propaganda methods.

Your assertions are almost always on target, according to my observations and conclusions over the past half century plus.
Ditto JD; I always read you loud and clearly, and for a very long time now.
You may be onto something.
You 'know' I am Ed.
But only partially. Fealty is dead on, but 60%, oh please, where did you get that?
Interesting etymology no ? Both fidelity and fealty emerge from the same root word, 'fidelis', yet meanings so far apart.
Rough estimate. What percent would you apply ?
So what is the difference? Loyalty vs fealty.
I'll tackle that.

Racist, misogynist Generals and Admirals—perfect mirrors of the Idiot-in-Chief.
Or for being a woman or a person of color
"As to the coming shutdown" courts will remain OPEN as they remained OPEN during a 2018 shutdown.
The Oregon Department of Justice has confirmed that at a Portland, U.S. District Court, a 10 am hearing is set for Friday, October 3, 2025, to HALT the deployment of any "troops" using "full force" against anyone. The central at the Friday court hearing is grave "irreparable harm". The Oregon Attorney General has declared succinctly that "Oregon is our home not a military target".
Motion GRANTED.
I hadn’t thought of that, Counselor. I sure hope so. Gov. Kotek spoke eloquently on TRMS last night.
All Be Safe.
Thanks for that info, Counselor. I don't subscribe to our "local" "news" paper.
If our Generals hold their ground and refuse to be fired, there are not enough ICE Agents in the world to take on their Branch of government.
That would be the best scenario. I certainly hope that happens, but I think the chances are very slim.
Bambi, you are so, so accurate. The propaganda has consumed them.
I’m expecting Trump to demand a loyalty oath. He probably hopes that using peer pressure and taking advantage of crowd mentality, he can coerce military leaders to acquiesce to his demands. It didn’t work with Comey and I don’t think it will work today.
Thoughts & Prayers. Hopes & Dreams. 1,100 likes. Get real folks.

Trump confirms he will fire military commanders he "doesn't like"
I literally prayed the for same thing this morning. America needs them to stand up for the constitution now more than ever. 🙏🏼🇺🇸
Bless you, Albert!
And, yes, Release them thar files!!
So good to read the “gang.” Just talked to a friend who reported earthquake in the Philippines. Need a bit of sanity.
Oh, dear. Thanks for letting us know.
I hear you, Virginia. I, too, am in the middle of writing postcards!
"The 'gang...' " Our 'community' herein. Yes Virginia, we have each other here; I'm ever grateful about that and the collective brilliance.
Morning, Lynell.
Morning, Ally!
Yes! Misogyny and racism, what JRB was fighting, bless his loving heart! Dale, well done.
100%
Excellent summation.
Actually, Steve, you need to review your Civil War era history. Facts are important. Republicans of the era were the good guys.
Thanks for the clarification. In general the Republicans were still on "our" side at that time as far as I know, though.
When Abe died, Johnson did a 180, did he not..
Thank you, Elene, I couldn’t have said it as diplomatically …
Well, Teddy Roosevelt was a Republican. So were many of the congressmen and senators who forced Nixon’s resignation. And John McCain. I’d say the party began to go,to Hell with Nixon’s “Southern strategy,” in 1968.
Abe died and the war victory died with him, seems to me
The focus of the Republic shifted after JFK assassination.
Teddy and Ike did some good things and Garfield had promise but the bad really hurt.
And I don't know anybody with any brains that votes by party no matter what at defies totally totally defies logic but it's not a surprise coming from you
Name calling doesn't work? Have you listened to your MAGA boss recently.....deplorable is as deplorable does....
He's only responding not making the first accusation. They've called him idiot they've called him a fascist they've called him a Nazi. They called him a king. They called him an autocrat an oligarch They call him obese they called him the orange Chito they talk about his ankles. AND THEY TRIED THREE TIMES TO KILL HIM.
maybe he should just say thank you? .
Hey Sandra , I have a really good idea for you because you seem to be sleeping.
When you post, have a point. mission more interesting for the reader.
None of you seem the same, ridiculous, reckless, unimaginative, one-sided behavior. ?
Specifically you cannot name SPECIFICALLY a policy of trumps affecting you negatively today. ESPECIALLY when you live outside the US.
GO CRITICIZE your own country.
🙄
Who is “they”?
Still dreaming, I see. Go to bed Ricky.
🙄
🙄
I wonder how recruiting and reenlisting in the military is going. Who, in their right mind would enlist in any of the branches?
Don't know. Wonder who will stay.
We need our Generals and their experience to stay. Refusing to be fired. ICE against a full Military Branch would be interesting.
Sure, but if they are fired, can they take it to court? I don't know. If not, then they should not waste their knowledge. Someone else can use it.
Today's GOP is the fascist party.
Yes. I have been calling them the New American Nazi Party for about 4 years now.
Money is part of every move, too.
Pity the night nurses.
Well, that "depends." /s
🤣🤣🤣
But instead, he's in control of the nuclear football.
I think he should be in a prison cell, wearing an orange jumpsuit to match his hair. He’s a criminal, a grifter, and a malignant narcissist.
A true confederacy of dunces.
Every time a Republican has a public meeting, they get harassed and booed. Everywhere.
GRU "Rick" sounds like he is on drugs.
That all you got? Yep. Can’t name five SPECIFIC Trump policies that are affecting your life negatively. Sad. Just name a couple. Nope. And you know why? They don’t exist.
Just useless insults.
Things would accelerate. $$$$$$$ rules
It's not Trump, but the figures behind him that matter.
ffpotus is the head of an infected zit, ready to blow.

We should demand his removal along with JDV, Mike Johnson, and criminal members of SCOTUS.
The only good Republicans are pushing up daisies. Harry Truman
It's called Christonazi fanaticism, and its ecogenocidal malignancy is truly infinite.
Maybe Trump has already written pardons for them. Essentially, that is what the Supreme Court has done for Trump.
Is it true that if he is tried and convicted of treason he and his entire cabinet are guilty of treason and will be immediately removed from office?
My sense of these two is that they were picked on as kids and this now is their retribution, making the country suffer.
It's terrible when you melt yourself into denial
🙄
"It's terrible when you melt yourself into denial." GRU "Rick" knows this firsthand.
This is my last response to you if you don’t answer my question five specific policies or laws that negatively affect your life currently.
And by the way, those particular videos from Hillary and Schumer and Hakeem Jefferies are all real so you can keep talking about deep fakes if you want, but it doesn’t change reality not that you live in that world
So last chance by
The Trump administration is dismantling the government and destroying national security, preparing to send troops into American cities.
Yes Nicole. You need to cover the good stuff. Then there will be more good stuff. People will become hopeful and active!!’
The concept that the Democrats are doing nothing, leaderless, weak, etc. has been furthered in mainstream media for at least a year. I have written letters to the NYT about their almost daily headlines denigrating Democrats in some way or another. Added to that the very minimal coverage of protests.
NYT report the Democrats who are standing up; mayors, governors and protesters!!! Reveal the GOP lies! Relentlessly call for Epstein files.
Thank you for saying that. Absolutely true.
A dynamic spokesmodel desperately needed.
Newsome is not dynamic?
Compared with democratic spokesmodels, he is. Most seem mute
Why did Trump repost the MedBed fantasy, Rick?
🙄
That’s clearly the agenda.
The link from CNBC further describing this

Troll-feeding is strongly discouraged at this zoo. The troll just keeps coming back for more.
Don't feed the NAZI bot.
Awwwww are we upset Mystic? If you’re so upset, stop reading the facts, enclosed and encompassing every one of my posts.
And our standing in the world is trashed.
Dimwitthat just left the White House… golook it up
🙄
OK, here is Heather’s letter tomorrow:
CNBC NBC News
How about his tariffs, Rick, which are driving prices up in the shops?

Here's a question for you. Name five Trump policies that are right now making things better for Americans- go on, Rick, I dare you to try.
Murdering fishermen on open waters makes me ashamed of my country. Blithering idiocy at UN makes me look foolish. Normalizing vulgar and violent behavior offends me.
The rest of the world has lost respect for me as being complicit.
Fisherman?? Well, your naïveté has grown to gargantuan proportions.
They were delivering death to your family. Thanks Joe.
Taking drugs are personal choices. Stephen Miller has no business commanding the US Navy!
Sure unless you start affecting those around you negatively.
And I guess it’s OK if you die at 30 because you took too much of a drug or you took the wrong drug as it was spiked or you took a drug and you thought it was good and it turned out to be poison like fentanyl.
AND you didn’t want to die. N
So you think those boats were bringing antibiotics or Tylenol to USA
GRU "Rick", if you actually read HCR (or had a brain to understand it), you would know a lot more than 5 bad things that Trump has done.
Well, that was pretty specific. Yikes. We’re Betsy lost in a quagmire. What do I do? ? She moans to herself? I know I’ll keep posting non-response responses she says.
🙄
By the way, did you hear the latest from federal chief Powell who said the tariffs are not affecting the economy they thought they would, and not impacting inflation the way we thought they would end up bringing up to $400 billion of new revenue to the United States each year based on projections, and now the CBO is actually done a new projection, stating that if things continue as they are right now The new projection is that there will be a $4 trillion deficit reduction from trumps initiatives
Uh oh.
Not to mention his latest favorite nation negotiation with Pfizer and other drug companies that are going to lower drug cost for Medicaid recipients. More oops
Favored nation
Well, would you rather be Europe? Stop being ignorant, a number of presidents hepps said troops for a variety of reasons in our history. Go google it.
We’re not in trouble at all. Why don’t you take a look at Europe and see what they did and many people like you here. Want to follow in your footsteps like idiots.
I had heard rumors about Europe’s economic struggles and the issue with unfettered, illegal immigration or over immigration that is causing a lot of social issues and economic issues in Europe and here’s what AI. said. In other words, we don’t want to follow Europe‘s lead

Have sent troops
🙄
It's time for the chant.

Our domestic enemy sits on the throne. Naked and insane.
I must be so out of touch. I've never heard of the SBC / Christian Nationalist conservative version of the Lord's Prayer.
Since you asked ...
Amen

I need a ROTFLMAO emoji on here. This'll have to do: 🤣
nor I
I never heard of Charlie Kirk either, until he was dead. I like to think I'm keeping up with current events, but mebbe not...
Lucky you
Please provide a link to that recruiting video. I also have never heard that version of the Lord’s Prayer.
I'm literally dying here.
"Only children call people names." Let's check the "hero's" record:
Sloppy Steve
Crooked or Sleepy (your choice) Joe
Mini Mike
Fat Alvin
Low Energy Jeb
Crazy or Crooked Hillary
Leakin' or Lyin' or Shadey or Slimeball or Slippery Comey
Lyin'Ted
Ron DeSanctimonious
Comrade or Crazy or Laffin' or Lyin' Kamala
Governor Newscum
Crazy or Nervous Nancy
Liddle Mike Pence
Little Marco
Shifty Schiff
Cryin' Chuck
Tampon Tim
Pocahontas
And that is just the tip of the iceberg.
I really hate feeding the troll, but this pitch was just so down the center, I had to swing.
Here have a taste of your hypocritical leadership

🙄
Well, if only children call people names, then dear leader is a babe in arms! That’s one of his trademarks.
Read above. And if you make comments that are ridiculously incorrect, those are also pretty outrageous. Many of the comments made above, indicate precisely the characteristic that they based the comment upon
"Muchos mejor."

It’s mucho. Try English
"Sad!"
But once again true. So here’s what I’ve decided Betsy or whatever the hell your name is and wherever you live outside the United States if you can’t name five issues that currently and specifically negatively affect your life, our conversations are done.
But GRY "Rick" this is so entertaining. It is better than a Disney+ subscription.
I am so sad.
I am sad, anxious about my healthcare, worried for my son who can’t find a job, scared for brown people and innocent fishermen, and very, very angry at selfish people in power who are letting everyone down.
You shouldn't be sad you should be optimistic. Things are working great right now in America and for many reasons and on many fronts.
"Things are working great"????!!!?!?
Are you a complete fucking moron?!?!?
What is the point of engaging with a troll? It may make you feel better, but it fucks up the entire comment section for everyone else. Please consider the consequences.
The point is learning the facts not just a BS that you guys put out and I still have asked you 10 times name me the five top points of contention that Donald Trump has caused you negative negativity in your life on a daily basis or an annual basis as long as it’s current and not fortuneteller BS.
🙄
"Blah blah blah blah blah . . . blah."
Was your last sentence a rhetorical question?
Trumps drug task force seizes 1,000,000 pounds of cocaine denying narco traffickers $11 billion in profit.
The Democrats response : BUT ALL THOSE WHO HELPED SEIZE THE DRUGS WERE WEARING MASKS!! And they jumped out of unmarked helicopters.
Lmfao. Can’t produce a better analogy than that one!!
"Lmfao." Rather, continually screeching like a Banshee.
🙄
Well, I have to give you credit first that my English is so poor that you understand it anyway. Lololol. Actually, I’m surprised you understand anything since you refuse to read what I write.
🙄
🙄

Learned about IBM from
Michael Lewis. Knew about Ford, surprised by others. Green really does rule.
To Phil, sorry, Lewis not Smith. Also what is major factor in pre WW2 politics. Was The Kings dalliance with Wallace and her favor with Nazis a factor. Or did Churchill ramrod the crown. Or am I way off base
"Blah blah blah, blah blah blah . . . (forty lines later) Blah blah blah blah."
Quick summary for everybody.
If you wanna look up collaboration, look up the Democratic Party
🙄
Phil, our fascist government that you claim as fascist is trying to keep the government open. But the left despite all their hysteria for years about the pain of shutting down the government is asking for over 1,000,000,000,000 1/2 dollars to support illegal immigrants and other nonsense like reinstating, PBS and NPR. An extending the law of the subsidies that were supposed to end now for Obama care that was supposed to work. It is now really unaffordable.
🙄
I fear that many of generals will be purged!
And those with integrity and honor will quit. 😢
I suspect, many of them have discussed this option with their families!
And, if they all refused to be fired?
It’s already more fact than fiction.
I actually think you are wrong on this one.
I would so love to be a fly on the wall.
Read it and weep, BLB. 😥
https://aaronparnas.substack.com/p/breaking-trump-confirms-he-will-fire
Trump confirms he will fire military commanders he "doesn't like"
and replace them with whom?
You think there are 800 Mike Flynn's hanging out at the water cooler looking for their chance?
There is a very, very long way between what Trump says and what actually happens.
Do you have evidence that there is a loyalty oath to trump happening? Or are you just worried. I still have faith that there is military brass that would reject a refocus of loyalty to trump over country and constitution. I have only hope.
Read it and weep, Sean. 😥
https://aaronparnas.substack.com/p/breaking-trump-confirms-he-will-fire
Trump confirms he will fire military commanders he "doesn't like"
I have heard what the pundits say and fears expressed by others.
Funny, I make it my daily mission to make McClintock’s (R-CA) staff question their life choices.
Good for you! 👍
Time to pull the plug on this insurrection against the Constitution and the American dream so many fought WWII to preserve. #NationalStrike
Yes, but HOW?
Read his hashtag.
National Strike.
The US is a capitalist nation.
The gratituitous cruelty is gobsmacking.
Gratuitous cruelty is the point, Ed.
I don’t really have faith but I’m glad you do.
I'm with you on this.
The entire concept of 'pulling rank' to get these people away from their commands and into yet another meeting that could have been an email for a 'pep talk' from the Orange Traitor is not going to sit well with these men.
Yep, it is wildly irresponsible and against the ethos of common sense protections for these people.
Omg, their FACES! As soon as I saw the vibe in the room, I was even more sure of this perspective. Boy, did they make a big mistake today.
Evil exiting the realm of the mind and into applied reality.
It might be hopeless, but we need to confront the lies directly, face-to-face and in public. .
