I very often so very much admire HCR’s masterful nimbleness in employing her consummate understatements to boldly articulate subtilties that would otherwise be read as obviously harsh indictments…she is a genius that freely bequeaths upon us her blessing for furthering our education, Eh!?
"GOP" phraseology is defined by the Ministry of Truth. Those who notice things observe that Government under the "GOP" is not so much small as authoritarian, and repurposed to serve those with the most money. It is intrusive when it comes to imposing "GOP" agendas and very heavy handed, especially when it comes to minorities and the very poor. The only "small" part pertains to abandonment of "the general welfare", millions for defense but not one red cent for the common good. It's "small" when it comes to voting rights and universal benefits and access. It's "small" in the sense of when "That's small of you" means "overly self serving".
It becomes easy to understand why the gop believe they are above the law. Lin, from our commenter group here, copied a valuable lesson from Senator Sheldon Whitehouse’s “The Scheme” series he just delivered on the senate floor.
