Heather What a marvelous symbol of our love for you. Your brilliance and personal empathy have brought together a disparate group that shares your values and yearns for your insights.
Rest and gird your loins for what’s ahead. We and the soul of our country depend upon you.

Janet I would love to read commentaries by a charming professional writer. What this non-tech has finally discovered is that if you write a separate comment NOT IN REPLY TO ANOTHER, then a box ‘Note’ appears. This then puts your commentary into Notes under your name.
Now, for ther past month plus my postings (not replies) are available under Notes. Just hit the big circle under Keith wheelock and viola! Would like the same with you!
Janet ‘Writer’s caution:’ The Notes are what one initially writes. Any later corrections for typos et al are not included. (Back in college early ‘50sI had that fancy paper where I could erase my typing—remember typewriters) . Today another problem.
Janet I remember drinking white out and then spitting on the paper—bad tasting, but efficient. At age 25 I wrote NASSER’S NEW EGYPT: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS.
I would review and organize my chapter notes, devote nearly a day to the first page, and finish the draft chapter in three days.
Before Xerox, then a secretary would type a copy with 6 carbons (the 6th unreadable) and we would proceed from there. Changing the galleys was a bit vexing, because the text had been set in Linotype. Ditto with a precise index.
Now I can play READY, FIRE, AIM in the middle of the night, press a button, and the stuff flows out as I go back to bed.

Perfectly said! Thank you very much!
