Whoa, Heather, a rainbow on your birthday! Mine too, today. And I am 22 years ahead of you. May your next 22 years be as happy as my past 22.

And mine as well - I’m 13 years older than HCR. Cool!

I’m just four years behind you, and hoping my next ones will be as happy as yours!

Age is gold. While you have completed 1007 moons, Dr. HCR has completed 985 moons. You have a story to tell us. Happy joyful birthday 🎂

I like that count! I think I'd like to use that for some my relatives who are closer to my age. Because I am too lazy to look it up, can you give me a quick tutorial on how you calculate that?

Expand full comment

Oh sure. Thank you for your interest in this count. 1 year has got 12 moons. So, if you have 40 years, your moons will be calculated as 12 X 40 = 480 moons. We get the energy from the sun and the moon. In fact, women are more existential than men because of their menstrual cycle. So they are more connected to the moon than men. Thank you

Speaking of weather, it is now cool here in central Florida this morning. I am going to treat myself by taking Heather's book, "How the South Won the Civil war" and a fine cigar out to the pool and engross myself in her tale for about two hours. Then on to other things - getting rid of stuff following my move from 3,000 sq.ft. to 2200 sq.ft. And, maybe a 3rd cup of coffee, too.

I just finished her latest which was quite the treat. Enjoy your cigar and your coffee.

"Democracy Awakening" is next. Probably goin to need a new box of cigars. But, right out of the gate with "How the South Won " she hits the nail on the head. The "rabble rousers" are being led by the oligarchs to vote against their own best economic interests like a bull with a ring in its nose. They're so easy to manipulate and absolutely shun "alternative facts." Personal experience.
