It's always darkest before the dawn. Really, really looking forward to that dawn. Thank you, Professor Richardson, for shining a light on the pathway so we all get there safely.

Also--Looking forward to Musk being prosecuted for breaking election laws with his million dollar bribes.

Don't count on DoJ. A-G won't step up.

If Trump wins he promised this week to nominate Aileen Cannon as the AG. Won't that be fun?

Grrrr! She's shown us who she is and will continue to be. Trump must be put asunder.

I think he should be, but I really question whether our system is able to hold Trump and his fellow plotters to justice. He gets away with far too much, and the spineless SCOTUS majority is willing to give him an unconstitutional immunity from his acts that would have appalled the Founders. The Founders believed that the President was not above the law, and six justices just trashed this idea in U.S. v. Trump. Justice SotomayorтАЩs dissent was completely correct. You should fear for your country if the Supreme Court of the United States is willing to grant this sort of unconstitutional immunity to the President.

I donтАЩt think SCOTUS is spineless. They donтАЩt shirk from standing up for Democracy. They are actively undermining it. Their spines are buttressed by the church and as rigid as the Religious Right.

Shawn-DonтАЩt forget the money (тАЬgratuities) which stiffen their spines too.

Since Trump is immune from prosecution for official actions, questions are being raised as to POTUS Biden's not taking a similar path and dealing with Trump in the here and now. His crimes have been delineated. Is decency the issue here even as our republic is under fire and the election outcome is in question?

Shawn, I think your assessment is spot on. There's a "spine" there, and what it is holding up is beyond awful.

Unfortunately, this is also correct. Where I refer to their being spineless, itтАЩs a reference to their failure to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law.

I had speculated that he had offered her Supreme Court. Quid pro quo is certain, whatever she gets.

Kind of proves that Trump actually hires only the weakest, most incompetent, and biggest boot lickers.

That made me feel physically ill Gary, I had not seen that before. ItтАЩs things like that that might bring about a civil war.

Hopefully, whoever Harris appoints will be more courageous. It'd be ideal if it happened today, but I can wait until February if necessary.
