Paraphrased by Barbara G: "If you're such savvy political/campaign people, how did this (former guy et al) happen right under your nose?" Appreciated that Reed took the question. He and Stuart were embarrassed but candid. They basically said they have no good answer for that failure. They absolutely didn't believe he'd be elected (as it turns out, he probably wasn't) and their sight line beyond Election Day was dictated by that belief.
Also interesting was Reed's explanation of what's involved re setting up a new party. It involves setting up in each of the 50 states, for starters. Complicated, though not impossible.
