Actually, they get a pass because of the stupendous timidity of Kevin McCarthy. We should all hope, for our country's sake, that McCarthy fails to become Speaker of the House. He's the big guy in his party. And he won't do anything to discipline gun toters or racists. What else does one need to know about his character?
Democrats need to keep the majority in the House. McCarthy is from a very conservative area of California so I think he’s likely to be re-elected. But I’ve also heard that if we turn out the voters we can retain our House majority.
